Thank you so much for this info! We will have time to go to the Visitor Center the day we arrive and then we have to be at the Bus Depot in the morning for an 8am departure so we will be good with an early morning hotel shuttle departure. 

Can you tell me how often the hotel shuttle from Denali Princess Lodge runs over to the Denali N.P. area? We will be there in a few weeks on our land tour and plan to visit the Visitor Center the day we arrive, which will be in the afternoon. We also plan to use the hotel shuttle to get to the bus depot area the next day to take one of the park shuttles.

We will be in Skagway in July with our 11 year old daughter. We plan on visiting the Gold Rush National Park site in town where she can earn her Jr. Ranger badge. We also plan to rent a car and drive the Klondike Highway out to Carcross stopping at Tutshi Sled Dog Camp. 

While my husband and I have previously done the train/bus tour, I know she would not enjoy that nearly as much as us going on our own. This way we can pace our day and make adjustments as needed.

Another thing, on our previous tour, the guide had recited a Robert Service poem, and I have downloaded several to bring and read to my family because I do like that sort of thing.
