HANK, We are on Norwegian cruise Line and they have said NO to us for getting off the ship in Le Havre. Our arrival date at LeHavre is August 31 (and I’m not sure why you thought that you needed to know that).

We are not talking about a USA cruise. We are on a Baltic cruise. We want to disembark at leHavre, France instead of Southampton UK since our plan was to travel to Paris after the cruise.

We are being told by the cruise line that it is their policy that we CANNOT disembark one port early. They also said that if we do try to do this there could be a possible fine of $583.00 per person. This makes no sense to me. What is the rule and why?

OK so here is our final action... we called NCL again and told them that we were disembarking at LeHavre versus asking for permission. We were told that it would be no problem as long as we paid our bill in full before we disembarked. We DONE.
