Hello,
This question is for anyone who has just came back from or is presently on a cruise on Ovation of the sea.
How did you find the beds in your cabin (balcony/ocean view or interior cabins)? I hear the suites have better mattresses then the above listed cabins. I am booked into a balcony cabin.
Would like to know if the mattress is extremely firm, firm or soft.

Thanks for the pump tip KBYUCougar. I think I’ll look into buy one as that way I can do it myself and not bother the cabin steward.
-
Sounds like a plan...I am sure they won’t mind (I hope).

I am thinking of bringing a foam topper with me on my cruise. I am going to be packing it in a vacuum space bag but what I need to know from those out there with lots of packaging experience is how can I pack up my foam topper back in the space bag at the end of the cruise without some way to suck the air out of it, i.e. a vacuum?
Any ideas would be great fully appreciated.

Hello
It was suggested by another cruise critic member (thank you fishywood for the suggestion) that I post my question here on RCL Board as the frequent cruisers on RCL might have the best answer to my question.
I am am thinking about splurging and going to Chops.
Can anyone tell me if you can order more the one appetizer/entree when dinning at a speciality restaurant. Is it the same as being in the main dinning room.

Thank you for the great information. I am very new to Cruise Critic and really not sure which board/lane to stay in...
I am thing about buying the “BOGO” offer on RCL Ovation that is on right now for 30% off. You must go to Chops as one of your choices. My daughter really want go to the Wonderland Speciality restaurant so that would be our second choice.

Thank cb at sea. I am glad to hear I didn’t pick a cabin that I was going to hear doors open and close all night long.
-
Thank you for your response. Did you encounter a lot of noises (doors opening and closing-that sort of thing)?

Hello
Travelling on the Ovation to Alaska August 16/19 and I have booked cabin #11596.
My question is does any know what is across from me? On the deck diagram there is a blank white area. I am concerned it is a crew area and I will encounter at lot of noise because of it.

Hello
Does anyone have any suggestions of places to sit to enjoy the view that are quiet and tucked away on the Ovation? Traveling to Alaska in August and looking for information from those who have cruised on this ship. Thanks.

Ok thank that is good to know. My daughter is autistic and being in the large crowds can set her off. I am hoping to avoid that type of situation as it takes her quite a while to recover from an episode.
I have provided RCL with information on her and hopefully they will advise me on how to navigate the terminal.

Thank you Ferry_Watcher.
Excellent detailed information. I just filled out a special needs form so hopefully RCL will be able to help us get on and off the ship without being in the large crowds- fingers crossed.

Thank you both for the information. The street names and exit name is very helpful.
I had a good look on google map and it looks good. I plan on parking my car at the Seattle Cruise Park and getting a shuttle to the pier.
I have been told the traffic can be heavy so any tricks to avoid that situation is good. We depart from Seattle on a Friday and plan on getting to the pier early.
I am travelling with my daughter who has high functioning autism and we want to avoid the crowds. I want to be at the pier by 11:00 am.
I would love love to take the train but I don’t think I can make to the pier early. I also don’t know where the train ends in Seattle and how far from the pier it is.

Should I get off the I-5 and get on the 99 to get to the pier? Any Seattle locals with the answer.
