Thank you all for the info. My suspicion was this would be the case and there would be an 'Edge-related premium.' Not that I'm eliminating that as an option but I wondered if it would be worth the premium. I'll look at the reviews and and do some pricing and probably have questions during that process. Would love advice at any time. Thanks! 

Hello, strongly considering a Celebrity cruise in January, Caribbean. The two ships down there are the Equinox and the new Edge. How different are these two ships? Is Edge worth the premium? I will certainly search the boards and look at reviews but what is the right-down-to-it take. I'd be paying almost twice as much for Edge, and am willing to if it's worth it. Traveling are me (47 and my gf, 45). I am also considering Aqua Class as a possibility. Itinerary isn't a priority, we just want to have some time away together on a comfy ship.

The deal, $50 per person, choose two bonuses (drinks and excursion credits), no taxes, cool itinerary, how could I say no. Newer ship and style and I'm willing to give it another try after a very disappointing:cool::cool::cool: experience on the Pearl many years ago. I'm looking forward to it!

I'm on Deck 10, cabin 1400. Corner extra large balcony, very excited for it!

I found Celebrity to be a bit more elegant/refined and more adult focused. RCL was more of a lighter party atmosphere. I thought service and decor/art was a little better on Celebrity but no complaints about RCL.

I will be traveling with my two sons (13, 10) next month on LOS. As a single dad do I need any sort of documentation from their mom to take them aboard? I have their passports but want to make sure there are no surprises when we check in. Thanks!
