Last night I cancelled a February 24 cruise over the phone. I had paid an initial deposit, specialty restaurants, and several shore excursions. All were paid using AMEX.

What kind of response can I expect from Princess?

We're on the Enchanted in February. Where can I go to book. I've looked everywhere.

When we were cruising, did anyone noticed a pattern when this is offered? 

Is it possible to pay for one now since there are no sailings? If so, how would you do it? Can this deposit be used for the booking deposit?

Leaving for Caribbean January 10 on Reflection.

What is Celebrity's track record showing NFL play-off games?

What are folks using this for? I'm not seeing any real utility.

I've booked a Monday 10 AM flight out of FLL after our Reflection cruise in January. This is the first time we've gotten an early light versus staying a night and leaving in the morning, Any helpful suggestions? Also, is a luggage valet service for SWA still available? Thanks.

Firstly, I'm new to Princess. While reserving a booking with a Princess agent yesterday, I was asked 'Would I Accept an Upgrade?'. As I had selected an M1 mid-ships mini-suite, I asked what I could be upgraded to. She said a full suite or a better mini-suite. I said OK, I would accept, as it seemed a strange question, and a no brainer.

Thinking more about it, I realized there may be a downside to this. Princess could now move me to a better mini-suite, in their opinion, or for their convenience. One that I do not want.

Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome?

Several years ago we made use of a private driver, I think his name was Charles. He took us to several of the many great beaches there. We had a great time. As we are returning, can anyone recommend a driver?

The background for my original question: I've hauled the standard unit w/humidifier as an additional hand carry for the past several cruises. I bought a small travel unit that I could pack for my next trip. The travel unit is small, but the humidifier adds to the weight and footprint. Still packable. Just trying to reduce what I take.

I have used Celebrity for water and extension cord. They were always waiting in my stateroom.

I looked at the filter/humidifier recommended in a prior post. Has anyone else successfully used this? I'm not sure I understand how the humidity is generated.

Has anyone had experience using a CPAP in the Caribbean 'without' a humidifier? I would think the ambient air would be humid enough. I would like to leave that piece at home if possible.

I've been unable to find answers to the following, if there are any:

1. Is there a definitive roll-out schedule for S-class ships, or will they all be done by the end of April?

2. Reservations - needed/required?

3. Opinion - Will there be any point in using the MDR?

Have been in 6126 on many cruises. Veranda is larger with plenty of room.

I concur with this previous posting. Additionally, I did notice was a reduction in the quality of service. I don't know if staff has been reduced or the number of assigned tables increased, but service suffered. One night our table was given away in the confusion.

All my questions have been answered.

It appears that 3 big jets land between 12:40 and 1:30. Questions on time as follows:

1. How long is the taxi ride from the port to Maho beach? This will determine when to get a taxi to be there for the planes.

2. Is the time from the beach to the port significantly longer at say 2 PM?

3. Are you aware of anyone not getting back to the port in time for departure trying to get back from Maho?

My advise is to explore the ship when you first come aboard. You'll find many places, away from the main flow of people, with comfortable chairs and sometimes even a view.

I'm told there is only one road from the port to the beach. Getting there and especially getting back by taxi, on time can be a challenge. Our last trip the taxi wouldn't even go there late in the morning. On our cruise in December there will be 3 ships and 14,000 passengers. Not good.

Does anyone remember a drink package sale recently? I'm not referring to 123 or other multi-selection promotions. Just the drink package.

Has anyone successfully used both?

We only cruised on the Constellation until a few years ago. Really loved that ship and she was all we knew. Then tried Eclipse. Loved that ship, but at the end of the cruise, we missed the homey feel of Constellation and went on her the next time. We then missed the positive features of Eclipse. Newer and bigger, etc.

So each class has its attributes. Just depends on what is most important to you as an individual. We will stick with the S class for future cruises.
