We were there on Arcadia at the end of June. There was a shuttle bus that ran frequently during the daytime. Horizon advertised that the last bus would be at 10pm but a later announcement stated 9pm. When we asked the driver, he said 8.30 so we came back just after eight.

That’s good to know - thank you

  2. Hi, can anyone advise if P&O run a shuttle bus from Skarfabakki Cruise Terminal to the town during the day/evening?  I’ve booked tickets to a Jazz Festival at the Harpa for the evening of our overnight visit and just realised the terminal is a good 50 min walk into town!!
    Thank you

  3. Update: my TA call back to advise that because the cancellations are due to operational reasons they are NOT offering free transfers or 100% money back.

However, due to the high number of complaints they have received they might review the situation Wednesday/ Thursday this week…….

  4. Yes, Trieste is being used as a replacement for Venice and was cancelled (assume it is because four other cruise ships in the same day).

I spoke to my TA today who said they had P&O ‘specialists’ in to help with the number of P&O queries.

our only option apparently is to cancel cruise or move. This is not possible. We paid for our original cruise, in full, March ‘20. We left our money with P&O in good faith during very difficult times for everyone.

We booked the two weeks off nearly a year ago with our respective employers and for the three of us who are in full time employment to try and get a different two weeks together during the Summer months is practically impossible (cover and other colleagues holidays).

Apparently other ports have been cancelled on upcoming Arcadia cruises too and the TA is trying to sort those out too.

  5. There is definitely a trend here for P&O changing ports! I get it if weather prevents it, but if it’s to do with too many ships in port for example, how is it that P&O bites the bullit and cancels?

Fingers crossed our Arcadia cruises booked for ‘23 and ‘24 go ahead, but reading other threads I am not holding my breath 🤣

  6. Hi, many thanks for the info.

P&O did not mention in the e-mail received that we had the option to cancel or to rebook.

We had our fly cruise originally booked for July 2020 on Oceana and it was subsequently cancelled and re-booked three times due to COVID. I don’t want to cancel our first family cruise since 2019 even though P&O have blindsided us with three port cancellations. Luckily the second week is unchanged.

I did check the port schedules for the cancelled Ports and Rovinj was the only port with no additional ships due in the same day. Trieste had another three and Dubrovnik one.

I wish P&O would just be upfront.

  7. We are due to sail on Azura 14th July (originally due to sail 2020) and I have received an e-mail from P&O to say that three of the four ports of call Trieste, Rovinj and Dubrovnik have been cancelled due to ‘Operational Reasons’. They have been  replaced with Korcula, Zadar and Koper.

Does anyone have any idea what ‘Operational Reasons’ means?

Trieste and Rovinj were new ports for us so I am disappointed not to see them ☹️.

If anyone has any experience of visiting Koper or Korcula I would be grateful for any hints or tips 😊

  8. My employer made me take my holidays, the excuse being once things are back to normal everyone will be wanting to go away.

To be fair I have never had so much time off in 35 years of full time employment so made the best of the good weather and completely recharged my batteries!

  9. We did three weeks on Oceana last year and did not get the B2B discount.

We changed cabin for the third week of the cruise - to the one next door.

Our cabin steward was brilliant and ensured that the cabin we were moving into was cleaned more or less first thing and we just swopped drawers and carted all our stuff next door. We were in and settled into the cabin around 10ish.

The only problem we had was the issuing of new key cards for the cabin. We picked them up at reception and wandered into Malta for a bit. Although they scanned properly leaving the ship they didnt coming back on. We were given another set at reception but when we came to purchase a drink they weren’t recognised. So another reissue and third time lucky.

We did not have to do a muster for the third week. We did enquire when we picked up our new card but were told we did not have to attend.

We loved the three weeks. It flew by and we could have easily stayed on for a fourth. I would love to do again but lack of holidays means it’s two weeks next year.

  10. Our summer cruise was cancelled this week and as we had paid in full we had a FCC of 125%.

We have rebooked for next August on a completely different ship and paid a little extra to upgrade from an inside to a balcony cabin. We have also got the increased OBC associated with a balcony cabin.

    I hope that helps?

  11. We are due to cruise end July but have so far only paid the deposit. The full amount is  due for payment in a couple of weeks. We, like many others, received an e-mail with the offer of additional OBC as long as we didn’t cancel the booking.

Our dilemma is, do we pay the full amount next week for a cruise that may not happen in July or just move the booking and deposit to one next year? I assume if we move the cruise and deposit we lose the very generous OBC??

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

  12. We visited Knossos and loved it but felt the tour was a bit rushed.

Did not like Heraklion at all.  We were dropped off for an hour after Knossos and had a drink in a cafe and were hassled almost non-stop by children begging with plastic accordions!! It was a very uncomfortable experience!

  13. HI, myself, husband and 15 year old son have just got back from a three week cruise on Oceana.  We were in an inside cabin and had no problems with storage at all and we had bought four cases with us!!

She is a lovely ship with fantastic staff and a very friendly atmosphere.  Everyone we spoke to commented that it was one of the best cruises they had ever done.
