  1. I forgot our passports two weeks ago. We live an hour from the closest airport. I didn't remember packing them until we were almost at the airport. The wonderful Uber driver dropped my DH and DS at the airport and took me back home to get them. I found them and she took me back. I missed our flight, but was placed on standby and made it to Miami 3 hours after my guys. My husband had a HUGE drink waiting for me. 12 th cruise and of all things to forget!!!!!! On our 3rd cruise, I forgot my makeup. Spent a lot of money at the stores on board

  2. We were on the Getaway last week. You had to buy a package to get the photo book with USB for $49.00 which includes 35 pics on 20 pages. The packages were 10 for $150.00, 20 for $200.00....... We bought the 20 pic package. We also received 30% off for platinum. So we received 20 8x10's, a photobook with 35 pics and a USB with 55 pics for $190.00. We used half the pics and book for my son's Senior Pictures. Much cheaper and more unique.

  3. I just wanted to pass on the irony..... Harriet is still helping. I am organizing our M&G. Another person is organizing a slot pull, but did not know who to contact. Harriet organized ours on the Sun in 2013. I was wishing I could ask her. I searched organizing slot pull. Low and behold, she had posted to a thread how to organize one. Thankful she is still helpful to us on the roll call!

  4. We are trying to decide what to do post cruise. Our flight doesn't depart until 5:00 pm. Our friends' flight departs at 3:30 pm. We have been thinking about renting a car(s) and going to a beach. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to rent a car, easiest way to return car and get to airport and closest beach with facilities?

  5. You could also attend your M&G. The officers usually give out their cards with direct numbers. About 3 years ago, we were on the Sun. One of our new friends had a few issues due to her vegan diet and not feeling well. However, I talked to Hotel Director, Brian. The head chef talked to her and she did not have any issues after that. In fact, she spent a lot more money on drinks since she was feeling better since she was eating better.

  6. I loved her sense of humor and advice! I organized a M&G on the Sun 3 years ago. She organized the slot pull. She was celebrating her birthday. I remember making her a seaglass necklace and earrings. She commented on CC once that she still wore them. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends,

  7. On our last cruise on the Escape in March, I saw a photo book at the photo department. I think it was about $150.00 for all of one's cruise pics. It was the last night so of course it wsn't available. Has anyone ever bought one from NCL? I am assuming they are like the ones you can get at Walmart of Walgreens.

  8. First, plan on a nice dinner after you day in Honduras. Maybe that could be your Le Bistro night,,,, but be prepared to make your dinner reservations on 11/14/16 (or 11/04/16 if you are in the Havens) because restaurant reservations will sell out quickly for Valentines night.

We always put up decorations, which you could try on your sea day if everyone is out of the cabin.

I love the idea about decorating. Maybe I can decorate our doors.

Thanks for letting me know I should reserve Le Bistro so far ahead! I hadn't thought about that.

  9. My DH, DS and I will be on the Getaway 2/12-19/17. Our friends will also be with us and are new to NCL. We were on the Getaway last thanksgiving. We have never been on a cruise during Valentine's Day. I am looking for ideas to surprise my family and my friends. Any ideas to make it special? We are Platinum and always eat at Le Bistro.

  10. This is great! I'm loving Cin's feed as well.

We are traveling with two 15 year old boys in two weeks so would love to hear how teen friendly the ship is. What to avoid, what to be sure and do, etc. We've only ever cruised on Royal before so Norwegian is new to us. I'd love to know, too, what you did/are doing for excursions.

Thanks and have a great rest of your trip!

    Excursions----

St Thomas-Shopping, sight seeing and Megan's Bay Beach through Godfrey's. 35.00 and included Banana daquiri at the Mountain Top and rum punch at the botanical gardens. Haggi was wonderful.

Tortola-Sage mountain Hike and Cane Garden Beach through NCL. Only one hour at the beach. It didn't include chair rentals. Most just put towels down.

Nassau--We were supposed to go the Hilton for a day pass. 60.00 which included 40.00 worth of food and drink. However it fills up fast. We went through island marketing

The boys played basketball, did the obstacle course which included Ziplining and walk the plank. This was an adrenaline rush for me. They talked to people in the hot tubs and swam in the pool. They also danced with us at Spice.

  12. Hey I asked "Cin" too....but can you comment on how crowded the ship feels to you. Just curious...I know everyone says the pool deck is crazy...but what do you think??

I hate crowds, but the only times I thought it felt crowded was to be expected. After the lifeboat drill which was taken more seriously on this cruise and on the top sun decks.

We spent a lot of time in the Vibe. Absolutely worth the money!!!!!!!!

  13. I'd like to find a list of frozen drinks myself. Mango Meltdown, I'll have to remember that. Any others that are popular on Escape, or that you really like? My mom is sailing on Escape in May with my dad. She likes (mostly non-alcoholic) frozen drinks. She's wanting to branch out from the basic pina colada type.

She likes teppanyaki a lot too! I'll be following your trip and others -- they're as excited as can be, but I know they'll want to hear more about what it'll be like!

Miami Vice-strawberry daiquiri and piña colada with blu curaçao. Yummmmm

BBC Bailys, banana and colada mix.

Yellow bird, rum punch. French Manhattan and Emperor's nectar in Le Bistro.

    Strawberry Daqueri

Strawberry Ca.....in Moderno-an adult cherry limeade

  14. Hi! Is there anywhere on board that has march madness games on? We're boarding tomorrow and enjoy watching BB!

Sorry for the late reply. There were games shown at O'Sheehans and we watched a bb game on the stairs up to the slides.

  15. Could you post the frozen drink menu for virgin drinks? DD7 will be wanting one, I'm pretty sure!

I couldn't find a non alcoholic frozen drink menu. I asked a bartender and she said you could ask for any kind of fruity drink for her. She was even going to make me one with all kinds of blended fruit. I stuck with my go-to fruity drink. Mango meltdown. Yummmmmmmmm

  16. Non-alcoholic drinks are 4.50. Was told you can ask for anything. My teens are having great time. I asked how the teen club and activities could be better and they responded that it is as great as it could be. No complaints or suggestions. They both did the ropes course and slides with me today. They have enjoyed the fitness center. Dancers and cruise director staff use it also. They have enjoyed meeting crew members and talking about working out. We went to Teppanyakki last night. It was the best regarding food and entertainment that I have seen or had on land or at sea.
