  1. In drydock, I read that they changed the entrance to the imax from deck 8 to deck 7.  Our cabin will be on deck 7 right by the elevators just forward of the theater.   How late to they run shows?   I imagine it could get noisy with folks walking to and from the theater.

  2. I realize this question isn’t about the funtimes, but cruise critic won’t let me post a new question even though I’m signed in!    Does jubilee have any of those folded maps available?   You could always pick them up at guest services (they’re about credit card size and folded about 6 times).  I checked on paradise last November and they said they don’t carry those any longer, but I thought with jubilee being a new ship, there may be a chance they exist.

  3. I don't think the libraries are utilized as much as they used to be, but we still go there to play cards on rainy days or when we need to get out of the sun for a bit.   And I have seen several groups playing games from some the of various games they have on the shelves in the library.   Or if someone has to work (horrible as it may sound on vacation), that would be a great spot to do so.

  4. My daughter and I were thinking of treating ourselves to a pedicure on our cruise on the Valor.   I have looked at the spa brochure online and noticed one for $55 and a fire & ice pedi for $65.   I was wondering if they have just a basic pedi that may not be on the brochure.

  5. Does anyone know if you can get an extra chair on a balcony? We will have 3 people on a regular balcony on the Carnival Miracle (deck 6). Can we ask for an extra chair from our room steward or should we just bring one of those fold up chairs in a bag? (if that is even allowed).

    Thanks,

    Darla

  6. On our cruise this past February, we received 2 nightlights. I thought they were really neat, but my DH gave them to our 2 adult children! I never got to enjoy them! At least I know the kids will get good use out of them! We like the stuff mainly because it says Carnival! And most of it is useful!

  7. Glad to see that Allyn Ball is still around! Haven't seen him in years and thought he was over the cruise ship scene. Love his comedy!

We saw Louis Johnson on Conquest a few weeks ago - very good! Will keep an eye on his website to see if he ever makes it to our neck of the woods!

  8. our waiter was OK...but my husband put his empty COKE can on his empty plate and he said to him...PLEASE DON'T DO THAT.. MY BOSS WILL FIRE ME...... HUH?

This is my first time copying quotes from previous posts, so I am thinking I did it wrong, but wanted to chime in. A few years ago (I can't remember which ship) in the MDR, we had a booth with 6 people open only at one end, so it was a long reach to the person by the wall. The first and second night we all stacked our dishes up and placed them close to the end so our waitress could reach them. She scowled the first night and the second night she asked us not to do that. I think it is considered "full service" dining and the staff is expected to do everything!

  9. Sailing on the Conquest out of Ft. Lauderdale. Never got an e-mail and have logged into Carnival, but have not seen where to choose a time. We have done our online check-in and when we printed out the boarding passes, it gave us a time frame of 1:30-3:00. Didn't have a choice. Not too pleased. We have always gotten to ports around 11:00 and in line ready to go and usually get on by noon or so. I think first come, first serve is the best and they should keep it (continue to pass out the zone cards once you check in). Why are they trying to change it?
