Taking a 10 day cruise on the Royal. How often do you, should you, ask for the sheets to be changed? I assume there's a sign I can put on the bed? If I don't ask, would they be changed at all?
This may sound dumb, but we have let our steward "off the hook" for changing our sheets every 3 days, especially in a cool climate cruise. After all, they only get changed once a week at home!;)

Yes indeed! Princess all the way, and many more to come (hopefully).

Had cabin P318 once and enjoyed the close proximity to coffee and IC in the morning. Don't remember any anchor noise.

Thank you for your review. The Royal is on our short list for next year.

Wow. Just got our assignment. We had booked the lowest category mini suite. They gave us B101, a full suite for 21 days. Wow indeed!
"We told you" maybe you would be in for a surprise - awesome score!;)

We are leaving our house in a few hours for our cruise and we still don't have a cabin assignment. I've been a member of this board for awhile and I know this happens from time to time. We've booked guarantees many times and have always had a cabin by now. I know we will have a cabin. I'm only posting this, because I now have a little more empathy for those who have worried about this and have asked for reassurance on this board. I'm not looking for that. I just want to apologize to those who I've judged, if only in my mind, in the past over their anxiety with this issue.
I second this, and echo your sentiment. We also do not have a cabin assignment yet in guarantee. Maybe a surprise will await you at the dock. Hang in there.

I see multiple photos that are (to me) Princess photo contest winners. I really hope you submit a few ---good luck, and thanks for your kaleidoscope of colors!

Having sailed both, my "crown" goes to Princess!

My vote is for the Regal, but keep something else in mind. Once you sail the new ships, it might be difficult to go backward at a later date and try the Grand. Just sayin', may seem like a "downgrade" at that point.

Trunk Bay unspoiled!? Not compared to the Trunk Bay I first saw in 1967!

TOUCHE' !!! It's been awhile for me as well

To get away from St. Thomas, you could take the ferry to St. John if you are a beach person. Unspoiled beaches such as Trunk Bay.

Seems like the best prices are almost always last minute, or "drop & go". Unfortunately, that kills the plan ahead mentality, and only works for a certain market of passengers such as retirees.
-
If I remember correctly, we took the Hop on Hop off bus when in Boston. I am fairly certain it took us at (or near) the Quincy Market.

No noise issues, and you will be happy with the convenience if you use the laundry room. Dash across in your princess robe to press a shirt.

Once experienced a death in the family while on a cruise, wasn't notified until we reached one of the ports. Had to leave and fly home. It was honestly the one (and only) time we didn't take the platinum insurance. All expenses were on us, so please, always take the insurance with hesitation.
Best of luck with your surgical plans. It will work out the way it's supposed to. Fingers crossed.

I haven't seen it publicized. I'll try to remember to ask.
Thank you again for checking. I had read (somewhere) that the BOGO + $1.00 had been discontinued on some ships:loudcry:

Geoherb: I haven't seen the question addressed regarding the BOGO drink special from 3-4 pm on the CB. Can you confirm it is still being offered, and if so, which lounge? Many thanks!

Thanks a million for sharing your precious time on this live thread. Joining the CB for TA cruise departing on 9/22/17. Thirsty for all knowledge of this ship. How do you like the new Princess beds?

I have also seen people using a napkin on the serving utensils as they went thru the buffet. I think its also a good idea to use hand sanitizer both before the buffet line, and also at the table before you eat. Just sayin

The most resistance we ever got was a barista saying "this is from another ship", so you can only finish out the speciality punches, not fresh brewed. OK by me, still got to use my punches.
-
Great reassurance for our up-coming TA in September. Was on the CB in 2009, so can't wait to compare your findings of the new refurbishments. Thank you!
-
Yesssss! And sail from Baltimore please. We need more cruises leaving from the mid-atlantic.

We were in the Crown during her inaugural season in June 2006, and again last October, 2016 for 15 days, LA to Hawaii. Honestly, she was in fine shape, and I would not hesitate to book this ship again. A bit of age? Yes. But maintenance, painting, etc was constant; she is far from a "rust bucket".

Had cabin P318 on the Star Princess several years ago to Alaska. Do not remember any noise or disruptions at all
Will you book another cruise on Princess ?

Without question, will book another Princess cruise with no hesitation. I believe the corona virus crisis was handled very well by Princess and its' staff. The cruise line was victimized as well.
