That would b a huge disappointment if they no longer do it! Anyone else cruise the Caribbean so far this winter?

Looking forward to our March 23 departure on Star Breeze through the Caribbean. We have been on several sailings on the Wind Surf, Pride and Legend. I know Windstar still has the Beach BBQ but was wondering if they still have the deck party event? Always a great time! However I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere and was hoping they still throw this great Buffet on deck?

Depending on itinerary of course there were more inclusions on seabourn, crystal, regent and Windstar when I sailed them. I will say the food was pretty decent on Serena as was the service. Just not thrilled with room size and all the additional fees (including the coin launder mat

I sailed in a PH in July for 9 nights along the coast of Spain. While the PH might give u a little extra room I felt it was definitely not worth all the additional $. The balcony size was standard with 2 chairs and a small table. The bathroom was very small with 1 sink and stall shower. We r petite and there wasn’t enough room for either myself or my daughter to even dry ourselves after a shower without slamming your arm into a wall. Our butler delivered our breakfast in the morning but that was all we used him for. Afternoon canapés got boring after 2 days so we opted out. I was overall not thrilled with Oceania as we were nicked and dimed for everything (drinks, gratuities etc). I felt other lines gave better value.

Lisa on the roll call has organized a tour of Gibraltar with a great tour Company. I think she still has availability.

This past summer we were on Sirena in 8056. A PH3. We too were worried about the room when we booked. Primarily because we are used to staying on the O ships on the 10th deck sandwiched between two decks of rooms. No public spaces. But we did not hear a thing. No noise. And any vibrations were very minimal. Our friends in 8054 would say the same thing. I would book that room again.

Great to know as my daughter and I will be in that exact cabin on our sailing this summer from Lisbon to Barcelona.

My 25 year old daughter and sailed the legend last march on our first seabourn cruise. 6 out of the 7 nights we were invited to a hosted table in the main dining room. We were extremely impressed with the effort to help us meet other cruisers. We sat with some of the entertainers, staff and fellow cruisers and always enjoyed the evening. It was Usually a table of 12. Now I am contemplating an extended voyage next winter by myself and hope seabourn continues to extend invitations to the hosted tables. I really like this aspect of seabourn dining and have not experienced anything like it on other lines (Crystal, Cunard, regent) while traveling solo.

We are getting ready to leave for a Caribbean cruise on the Star Legend next week, as our cruise on the Star Pride to Costa Rica was cancelled. After reading all the above posts, I emailed Voyage Services and here is the response I received yesterday:
"I want to inform you that you will be able to explore Pigeon Island on your own and that you should have an opportunity to visit the Bitter End Yacht Club. While this is subject to what the harbor master tells us we are planning on allowing visits to the yacht club."
We can only hope that this is true...If not like lesliew said above, we too will just have to suffer by being on a private island with a beautiful beach and BBQ!
Pigeon island is st lucia not virgin gorda

We will be visiting for a day and would love to rent a mini moke to tour. I was there last year and there was a car rental agency to the left coming off the small pier in town but I don't remember the name. Anyone familiar with iles des saintes can me out? Thank you!

We will be on the March 19 sailing also making a stop in Barbuda. I too would love to spend a few hours at the beach. Have heard for years how beautiful it was in front of the now defunct k club hotel

Hi washdcguy
My daughter and myself are also booked on this trip and I have been wondering the exact same thing too. This is our first seabourn trip though we were on the pride this past summer in the med under the windstar flag.
We also got a great deal on a guarantee and still checking but no cabin assignment yet.
I agree the whole thing looks a little odd from being almost empty to now sold out. We only booked less than a month ago. So I don't know if this is good or bad news for a better cabin assignment (upgrade?).
See you on board.

I've just booked my first seabourn cruise for my daughter and myself. We are sailing March 8 out of St Thomas. Is it too late to get a referral. Not quite sure how this works. Thanks

Loved it! Can't wait to try it and see for myself!

I will be taking my first transatlantic on the QM2 in a few weeks and was wondering about the cost of non alcoholic drinks. If I want a soda at lunch do I have to pay for it? If I want to drink a bottle of water at night is it provided in my cabin? If so is there a cost?
I have only taken a few cruises (crystal and windstar) and all non alcoholic drinks were included.
Thanks for the input

Sailed twice on windsurf in their deck 3 double suites with 2 bathrooms and loved it. Plenty of room and loved having my own bathroom and closet space

Thanks for the review. My daughter and I will be sailing on Wednesday on the Rome to Venice itinerary. We have been on the windsurf twice in the caribbean most recently this past march. We have also sailed sea dream and this is what I am thinking the ship will be like. I am very apprehensive about the upcoming trip on the pride due to the negative publicity about so little deck space. Your comments about not being able to get a seat outside at all except for reservations at candles is also bothersome. I really would like to enjoy the outdoors more especially on our sea day. I know it will be hard not to compare the windsurf to the star pride but just hope we are not totally disappointed in this ship

I was just about to go out and buy a travel iron for our August 13 sailing on star pride. I did purchase the laundry package but assumed it was wash and fold. So glad to hear everything is pressed as well!!!

My daughter and I did Mama Agatas cooking class about 4 years ago when we were staying in Ravello. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, food, company and scenery. We booked the day before and were lucky enough to get a spot. Its a long day with observation in the kitchen, eating and drinking and touring the grounds. I think we finally finished lunch close to 4 pm. Well worth it for a very special day.

You will have to take a cab to the pier and then tender to the ship. Lots of passengers on the ship went up to Shirley heights and said it was worth it

I was on this cruise last January and will be on this sailing again March 15. I highly recommend going to one of the beaches in Antigua. Went to long bay last year and will try another one this year. Ak
Los we overnight on Sunday in Antigua so don't miss Shirley heights on Sunday night

I was on the windsurf last January for the yachtmans caribbean cruise (so great I booked again this march) when my daughter got food poisoning from a beach bar on Antigua our first day. She was severely sick. I called the doc ( a young female) who was to our room in 15 minutes. She gave my daughter a shot and meds. It was a rough night for her but in about 48 hours she was better. I was very thankful for the medical care onboard

The ship is not even registered in the USA so agree with ride the ride this makes no sense. And misty morning reported that on the classic Caribbean which I believe is sxm RT that they had the deck bbq in early February. Hmmmm
