  1. Thinking about buying the unlimited package. There is only a $20 difference between the Unlimited Wifi Package – Unlimited use throughout the cruise and the Unlimited Premium Wifi Package – Unlimited use throughout the cruise. Is there a major difference in speed (or anything else) between the 2 packages?  I will just be using it mostly to check email, reading news and checking out a few other websites, nothing major. If I go with the lower cost one and I find that it is too slow can I upgrade to the premium one for the $20 price difference while on the ship?

We are boarding the Jewel on the 13th to the 18th! I booked a SuperShuttle for travel from Port of Los Angeles to LAX. I was considering Uber/Lyft but was concerned about surge pricing and availability so I decided to be safe and book the Supershuttle.

We will also be on that same (mega)cruise. Can't wait.

  3. Thanks. I am a total political news junkie. I normally sleep with one of the channels listed above on all night. The other one I will avoid. 😀 Good to know I have a choice.

  4. We are going to be on NCL Jewel on Oct 13-18. Not sure if this matters but we will be leaving out of Los Angeles and going to San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico. I know I will not be in my cabin much for TV watching but I like to sleep with the TV on. I was wondering what TV channels do they usually broadcast? Do they have the networks and which news channels do they air?

I just ordered some hang tabs.  You know those plastic stickers with the hole that stores use to hang products. So now I can attach my card to a lanyard without using those stupid envelopes.

    What a great idea!!!!

    Where did you get these?

  6. That is a great price!!! Congrats.

I have been lucky, I have gotten 2 practically free cruises with NCL. My first one was 3 years ago from Miami to Bahamas for 4 days. We paid $500 total (taxes included) for a mini suite. This next one we are getting a deck 10 balcony cabin for $100 (yes $100)  per person (plus taxes) This upcoming one is leaving Los Angeles on Sunday and going to San Diego and Ensenada and returning to Los Angeles on Friday. Both cruises are music cruises. Over 15 bands on each cruise.
