Why would anyone NOT notify Carnival of a pregnancy? If you're too far along to go, then you could risk being found out and turned away at the pier. If you're within the guidelines, why hide it?
I think that it should be a required question for anyone under a set age, say 45. That would solve the embarrasing part. Any female would get asked, period. I can't believe they don't make it a required question somewhere. It could even be on the Fun Pass to fill out before cruising, so there's no surprises at the pier.
Our TA always asks us if anyone in our group is pregnant.......only after we had one in our group that was and wasn't aware of the rule and was detained until her doctor faxed her a note........and she was over 25 weeks.....now it's a running joke with our group:D

we saw a very visible..more that 5 months pregnant...couple on the Freedon Med cruise in July 2008...on their honeymoon of course:rolleyes:..and they we dancing up a storm on the stage during the talent show....jumps..slides...all the kind of stuff that made them both look stupid and ridiculous...then I noticed the rest of her body was thin...only her belly was large...so she was either very pregnant or sufferring from a large tumor..or had the biggest beer gut in the world. I go with my first or last thought, btw!:D
Obviously she was a very healthy preggers and good for her..........I taught aerobics up to my 8th month;)
OP...one of the women in our wedding cruise that I organized was pregnant and they did ask her when her due date was....and she did have to present a doctors note.......

What are the shops/restaurants/buffet/activities that are open 24-hours a day on the cruise? Are the pools, spa and fitness centre open 24/7?
Thanks.
Pizza 24/7...........casino is determined upon how many people are playing.........pools are closed at sundown....spa is closed about 10 or 11 p.m.......why would anyone want to go to the fitness center at night?

On the Conquest class ships there's a diner (can't remember the name) on Deck 4 that is open 24 hours. I don't believe the pizza place is open 24 hours, but I could be wrong.
You are wrong on both accounts lol!

Great review!!!!

It just seems to me that tipping has really run amok.
LOL! If you read these boards often enough you will find that out:D

Ditto. And if something like that ever happened, why wouldn't you grab back your bags, find another porter, and report the guy?
"ok...here's more money...take my bags"
I don't believe it.
Exactly!!!
Those of you who are so quick to call the OP a liar...are you new here?No........
Those who do not believe this happened are the ones who have fallen into the group of nothing can go wrong on a cruise. And it is all your fault if it did. I will say my may 31 Splendor cruise went off without a hitch, and I could not be happier. But I to would have handled this a lot differently.Actually if this did happen.......it is the posters fault for falling for it;)
-
I don't believe this.......

Unlike some others' date=' dining is still "free" on their ships[/b']...except for specialty coffee and pastries from the little concession onboard.
LMAO!!! Actually it is included in your fare........just like all other cruise lines.........
Some others just offer more optional pay venues......more choices......
-
No mention of how they found my purse...
Sounds fishy:cool: Good reminder to keep important stuff with self until room is ready.......or was your room ready:confused:
-
i guess they take responsibility when you have the insurance and make the insurance company pay the claim.
Hey as long as we don't have to pay, sure we'll take responsibility.:p
bill
lmao!!!
-
They said since extra insurance was not purchased to cover contents in the stateroom, they are not responsible.
You can purchase extra insurance to cover contents in your stateroom and Carnival would be responsible:confused:

Frankly, I don't think they care about alcohol too much...I think they are more concerned with guns, drugs, and other illegal stuff.
They will only look for drugs at debarkation;)

I am a CC fan but this is the first time I have come across the "Rum Runners" phrase. Please explain. I asked the explain question with "balcony club" 1 month ago and was amazed at how naieve I was. I hope this isn't a repeat. However, you don't know me and I will learn this new phrase and there you have it:D. Thanks, Kaboochi

After many many many cruises... I have yet to have a problem getting liquor to my cabin that was in checked bags. Never paid for Rum Runners. Just god old fashioned sense in packing and those glass or plastic bottles have made it every time. Too much a scuttle about all of these ways to beat the system when it is not so complex at all. Why try to reinvent the wheel ?
We never had a problem either.....until Aug. 2007 on the Elation;)

They are suppose to scan every bag. Their mission is not to look for alcohol it is to look for weapons of sort.......
They know people smuggle........

We are booked in U89 and the pic dont look like the one on carnivals web site. If they look like the one on carnivals web site, it is beautiful. Cheri

...I agree, I am on my third passport, I just find the whole picture of stranded americans laying all over the Caribbean humorous, the link I posted addresses the new restrictions, they will still let you back in.
I find a picture of stranded americans laying all over the Caribbean humorous too.....that's not the issue here.
And I'm sure they will let you back in after the new restrictions.........the problem is will it be handled as swiftly.....or will it be a nitemare........
I don't know that.....and neither does anyone else here........because it has not happened as of yet.
Why take that chance when it can be avoided.
I wish I had a crystal ball too.......
-
I guess I'm just a sceptic. Since the new restrictions have not been enforced as of yet......the truth is no one knows how it will be handeled.
My opinion why even take a chance.

You're absolutely right, but I don't think that anyone is claiming that you would become a "man/woman without a country" if you tried to return to the US by air without a passport, as long as you're a US citizen. However, I suspect that it could be a major hassle, involving many phone calls and discussions with beaurocrats and airline ticket agents, who may not really know what the law really is (they've just been told that no one gets on a US bound plane without a passport).
I would have to agree with you. While maybe some on here had no problem prior to the new law. We will not really know how they will handle situtations after Jan. 23 2007. While they do say these new requirements may be waived in case of a emergency.....who determines that is another story.
I guess we really won't know until it happens to someone after Jan 23 2007.
I would not take any chances.........but that's my opinion...
Pregnant and cruising?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted · Edited by Kurbanfan
At check in they said "Oh I see you are pregnant, when are you due?"
(she looked pregnant not fat)
When she told them they said she was too far along and sent her to another desk. They told her to call her doctor and have him fax over the ok. The doctor did and she had to sign a waiver stating the cruiseline was not responsible if something were to happen in regards to her pregnancy.....and she boarded with me and her dh since I waited with them......
