AFAIK there are no pull-out sofas on the Edge class ships.  They're all trundles.  One person would sleep on the trundle and the other would sleep on the sofa part.  The room attendant will dress those both up so that everyone is comfortable.

    Here's a link from a S-class ship but it's the same concept.

Thanks!  I appreciate the visual.  From what I’ve seen of the Edge Class Sky Suites, the rooms seem quite a bit bigger than this.

I suspect the SS's that accommodate 4 have a different sofa.

Yes, I have seen two different types of sofas in the Sky suites.  One that is a chaise lounge with open space under it and one that is longer and clearly has something stored under it.  If nobody’s taken a picture of it made up, I’ll do so this summer and post it here for folks in the future.

  3. I’m going to pre-purchase laundry bag “packages” for my Celebrity Beyond sailing this summer.  It lets me select the passenger and the number of bags per passenger.  We’re traveling with our teenagers in a Sky Suite.  I assume we can combine all our laundry together and it doesn’t need to be passenger specific.  Please correct me if I’m wrong.  How big is the bag?  I’m trying to decide how many to buy.  Thanks!

  4. Never heard of anyone doing that but the ships reception or doctor can give very effective medicine.

Before cruising on cruise ships we sailed on DFDS several times from Newcastle to Amsterdam and to Norway and Sweden.

Sometimes there is quite a swell but Other times the North Sea can be like a pond.

Hope you have a fantastic smooth sailing cruise.

Thanks, we have a lot of experience with her sea sickness. The medicines are not very effective for her. We're certainly hoping for calm on the Baltic. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had experience with purposefully leaving a cruise at port, missing a day at sea and rejoining the ship at the next port and what hassles are involved. It should be easier here since they are both EU jurisdictions. Just not sure what the cruise line will do.

  5. We're on the 11-night Baltic cruise out of Dover this summer. My wife can get very sea sick. We anticipate that that highest risk day for turbulent seas is the "day at sea" spent crossing the North Sea and traveling from Amsterdam to Germany. If the weather looks bad for the day at sea, we're considering having her "miss" the boat in Amsterdam and get a train to meet us in Germany. Does anyone have experience with something like this? Can it be prearranged with the DCL or do you do you have to be insincere about it?

    Thanks for the advice.
