We cruised the end of November and had a 10:30 boarding so we arrived just 10 minutes early and went right in. I don’t even remember the terminal because everything happened so fast.

This was my retirement cruise which has been on my bucket list for years. We just received the cancellation email from Celebrity. I am waiting to hear from my travel agent as to what to do. Pick another ship? Cancel altogether? Wait till Covid testing is gone as that was stressing me out? What to do, what to do?

Just wondering if people on Celebrity decorate their doors and if the doors are made of metal.

Prices in Ontario for rapid antigen test are 30 Canadian dollars. I am shocked that Vancouver charges so much but I guess because the port is there they can charge these high amounts.

Too complicated. My sister is coming from Toronto and I am Canadian but will be in Florida at time of cruise. Thanks anyway.

Too late, booked a long time ago!

Announcement came out today.
As Canada welcomes the first cruise ships back to Canadian waters in April, Transport Canada, working alongside partners, has developed a comprehensive public health plan for cruise ships, including:
- Crew and passengers being required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19;
- Crew and passengers being required to self-monitor for symptoms;
- Passengers being required to take a COVID-19 molecular test within 72-hours before boarding a cruise ship OR take an antigen test within one day of boarding a cruise ship; and
- Passengers being required to take a COVID-19 molecular test within 72-hours before

Today Canada announced their guidelines for cruising. As I suspected having a negative Covid test is required. Now I am trying to figure out how to get one in Vancouver. Seeing very high prices for them. I can get one in Florida for free to fly to Vancouver but will need to test again before getting in the ship as I have two days in Vancouver before the cruise. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Less than a day - sailing on the Valor tomorrow August 19th. Looking forward to it!

just 22 days until we are on board the Valor and enjoying those sea days!:)
-
We have been both on the Liberty and the Conquest in the past 2 years and Guys Burgers was open when we got aboard the ship.

I would like to get reservations for the steakhouse but would like to know which nights are the formal nights so I do not book on those nights. We are sailing on August 19th for a 8 night on the Valor. Can anyone help me with the answer to my question?:)

I don't remember the cost of the umbrella because we brought our own beach umbrella. Since we drive to the port we just it was already in our truck from our many beach days in Florida. We brought it on the ship with no problem. I do remember it cost 25 dollars to rent a float for the day. Now we bring one of the spring floats that fold up in a circle. Bought it at Walmart and bring it on all my cruises. :)

We have never had OBC on carnival so ......

We brought our own beach umbrella ( drove to the port) and I always bring my own float (spring float fits in suitcase - buy at costco or walmart). Half Moon Cay much better beach than Grand Turk. GT very rocky, even with water shoes it is very difficult to get into the water (this is beach left of the pier , think to the right of pier better).

Was also on this cruise. There was a pipe break on Deck 2, I think.There were as boatload of kids, most out of control, running, screaming, whistle blowing hoards late into the night with parents in vicinity completely ignoring them.
WE were on the 7th deck and I didn't hear any kids in the night running around. There were a lot of kids though - I was surprised that people let their children run around on their own ( kids were about 8 years old). The pools were always crowded - not a inch to let more people in. The cruise was lovely though despite not going to the ports that we wanted to. There was plenty to do on the ship if you wanted to. Food was good, Guys Burgers was very busy everytime it was opened. Great fries! Good burgers. Embarkation was easy - we were off the ship and into our car by 7:50 am. Would sail this ship again - actually would probably sail any ship! No cooking, people to clean for you - what's not to like!

I just got off the conquest aug 31. One day I was waiting at guest services and heard a couple talking to a staff member a the desk about a pipe bursting. I never saw any water.
-
We sailed with Carnival in August and found the cabins very warm. I never used my wrap or sweater in the dining rooms or theatre at all. This has never happened to us before.
-
Guys burgers are excellent! My husband ate one every day on our cruise. They are made with real beef. The spicy French fries are great too!

WE booked an inside guarantee room last week for a sailing on the 17t of August on the Liberty. We got our assigned room right away. It's the first time we have done it this way.
