I just got my first passport and I was shocked at how fast it came. They accepted my application on 9-17-19 and I had mine in hand by 9-27-19.  I did normal processing  and couldn’t believe it! My experience is probably are rare occurrence though but 7 weeks should be plenty of time, especially for a toddler.

I'm not exactly excited about not leaving until 6pm for the return BUT I looked and there's nothing on Delta that leaves any earlier that is realistic to make so it's probably what I would've booked for myself anyway.

It's very easy to get out of the port area. It is basically set up to snake you through all the shops and everything, but if you just keep walking, you will eventually make it to the port exit. There's really no way to get lost. There's no place where you have to choose a left or right turn, there's only one way to really go.

 

And once you exit the port, you just walk straight for a couple blocks until you see the meeting place for Maya Chan on the right.

I'm in the same boat ( no pun intended). We sail out of Miami on December 9th  and are flying out of smaller reginal airport(Canton-Akron) and I'm (im)patiently waiting for our flights & edocs as well. Fingers crossed they are coming soon. 

I have a day booked with them in December on my trip and am very much looking forward to it. The communication from them already is amazing. 

They sent a map to get out of the main plaza there so I feel pretty confident but, did you have an difficulty finding an exit? They've said sometimes it can be confusing to get OUT of the port area. 

This is my first cruise so just trying to be prepared.
