  1. Our first Princess cruise so the review won’t contain any “ they moved my cheese”  commentary.

I am 59 and in my estimation was in the youngest 10% of the 3,400 passengers. This had pluses and minuses:

pluses: a peaceful experience without rowdiness. Got in some exercise since 25 percent of the time an elevator would be completely full in part due to an electrical wheelchair or what ever it is called taking up the space. Relatively short wait times at all bars, and uncrowded buffets. Uncrowded stairs.

minunses: we had reserve collection dining but I noticed long lines at the Capri dining room at the time of opening, seems this older crowd likes early dining. Didn’t impact us but be aware. I don’t blame princess but we had a shore excursion noted as strenuous in the description with an older person who should not have partaken. This person’s inability to hang stressed out other passengers and thus impacted other’s ability to enjoy what they paid for.

    Dining

Took all onboard breakfasts at buffet. It is a cruise ship buffet and was fine.

One lunch at GIGi which we enjoyed and one at Ocean Terrace which was nothing special. Note that as others have mentioned one meal at GiGi is enough for two people.

Reserve Collection dining for diner: it was good, not great food. We did choose the special meal a few times. We were always seated at a table for two immediately. We moved around and had various waiters who all performed quick service getting us out in around an hour.
we dined at all three specialty restaurants and the service was also quick which we appreciated, we never experienced the 2 hour plus issues that others have reported. We thought the restaurants were good, but not great. Overall the dining experiences were fine, no complaints nor were we blown away.

    Embark and debark

This is where princess shinned. Embark: We caught at Uber from the Riverside Hotel at 9:15 and were onboard by 10:45. Debark was amazing. We had a 7:10 time and were called on the dot and walked off to easily find our baggage due to great organization, we quickly got an Uber, checked our

bags with the airline, went through security, and were at our gate at 7:53. 43 minutes from ship to gate. Princess only responsible for getting us off the ship.

    Cabin

We booked as part of a free inside cabin offer from our local casino which we paid to upgrade to a Balcony cabin. I received the upgrade offer email and bid for both Jr Suite and Reserve Collection Jr Suite. We received the later cabin A433 (deck 12, center ship, larger handicap room). Room is large with a full size couch. No tub but I don’t recall taking a bath in 30 years and I can survive 10 more days. I’m not saying what we paid but it was 1000s less than had we booked a jr suite and we wouldn’t have been able to book this one. Loved the cabin and the attendant was excellent as well.

    Shows

Saw Rock Opera, it was fine and another show that was nothing memorable along with a comedian that was fine. Cruise ship shows are what they are and we don’t expect to be blown away. Theater was almost full 25 minutes prior to show start,

    Service

All interactions with the staff were positive and friendly.

Overall we really enjoyed ourselves just relaxing and taking time away from work. Princess met our expectations. We will choose future cruises based on itinerary and date with  Princess in the mix.

  2. I wonder if he pays more taxes than General Electric???......I know I do!!!;)

There is a good case for eliminating all corporate tax anyway. A corporation is taxed twice. Once one earnings, then when those earnings are paid to shareholders in the form of dividends or stock buy back, those dividends are taxed too as are the capital gains on the stock. If corp taxes were eliminated, that money that had gone to the US treasury would now be retained by the corporation. And the corporation would either spend it or return it to share holders.

  3. I fail to see how this was a scam. In order for a scam to occur, something of value must change hands -like money. The OP did not pay money for bingo, therefore he did not get scammed at bingo.

If the cruise line is guilty of anything, its is in not giving advance notice that a minimum number of players must exist. This is a failure to communicate, but not a scam.

  4. Deck - Resort

    Cabin # - 2103

    Class – Concierge

    Starboard or Port Side -Port

    Bed near? – Door

Quiet Cabin – Mostly, about 7 Am or so we could hear a few minutes of noise from the deck above. But it was over quickly. I think they were cleaning the bathrooms up there.

    Balcony View - No obstructions

    Balcony Size? Normal

    Was wind a problem? no

Any other comments? Nice access to OceanView cafe, elevators, and pool.

  5. If I may suggest,

    1. Highlight the entire area of the spread sheet wheere there is text

    2. From the menus at the top select "data" then "Sort"

    3. Select column A -or what ever column has the cabin numbers

    4. Select "assending" (to sort from smallest number to largest)

    5. Clcik on the box at the bottom of the sort window that says "has header row"

Now the list will be in cabin number order. And it will be much easier as the list expands to locate a particular cabin number.
