Been very busy the last couple days. Will check on pricing today. We did a whale tour yesterday and got to see a pod of Orcas! Hoping for some sun as it's been 50 shades of gray so far. [emoji6] no tour today, in port 13 hours.

On the ship, ate very good buffet, walked around. Ship looks to be in great shape. Picture is from my phone, got lucky with it but it turned out good. Muster drill in 5.

Bus picked us up early and we are making our way to Seward. Currently picking up more guests at the airport. We like to fly in the day prior, one reason is we live in Michigan and we never know what the weather will be and 2 we like to explore a new city if we can. Anchorage was clean and everyone was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast in the cafe was also delicious! We had Ana as a waitress and she was fabulous! I had the crab omelette and highly recommend it. The hotel also has free wifi and it works very well.

We have arrived in Anchorage, and stayed the night at Hotel Captain Cook, took a taxi for 20 dollars plus tip. Ate a very good meal in the hotel at Fletcher's. The bus picks us up to take us to Seward about 2:00 pm. We are using ACT Big bus. Our only issue is we are from EST time zone and started waking up about 2 am. We will have the ship to ourselves if this keeps happening. Lol

Announcing the Ms.Kk. The official name of vacation we are starting! My parents Mary and Stuart (Ms) and Kim and Kurt (Kk) are flying out of Michigan early Thursday to Alaska for a wonderful 7 day cruise to Vancouver. Please enjoy the trip with us as we will be sharing a lot of pictures and experiences while away. Questions are always welcome. As we will be starting the cruise on Friday.

Daddy, what's a watch? Why do you need one when I have time (perfectly calibrated in every time zone in the world) on this phone I carry everywhere?

I love a watch, been wearing one on my left arm for 40 years. Men get very few places to wear jewelry and a watch let's you express yourself and show your unique style.

Was looking at the packages and am a bit confused. I see options for 1-2 devices, if I pick the one device package am I locked into only using my phone or iPad? On can I use either one, just not simultaneously? And if I got a two device package could my wife use one of the two with whatever device she wants to use?

Anyone else ever done an 80's cruise?

Okay they stopped by and chatted with me for a few minutes on there way home. Yes there were stations, but if you were to step out of line by one to get to another station, the people in the current line would glare. They loved all the entertainment, and the balcony cabin too. The hallways were narrow compared to the other ships they have been on. They do not like the main dining room, im glad some of you enjoy it. It took an act of god to get them to join our table when we cruise with them. They also had some onboard credit that they spent, and found out on Saturday that it was not spent correctly and was lost. I posted this to try and get some answers for my own knowledge base. They like buffets while cruising, many of you keep saying to go eat elsewhere, but they did not want to. They dont tell you how to cruise and I dont either. They will be contacting the rep of the company they book through, cant say name here. Bash me all you want, oh and in case some of you think, my dad is 6 feet tall and 205 lbs. They dont live for buffets when not on cruises, it just works for them.

This was thier 2nd NCL. This was booked 8 months ago while they were on the first one that they enjoyed so much. When they get back to my house i will get the details and post everything that was an issue. The buffet was just part of it, but they have to drive 1600 miles here so will be a couple days.

Not a cheerleader type but I see zero reason to start a negative thread when you have zero details especially when the one thing you post is false.

Wow just trying to get clear info from others. Its not false to them, this is how it was in there mind. They don't like main dining rooms too stuffy for them. Just because it did not happen to you does not mean it did not happen. Funny how some people take ownership to a cruise line. Im just posting to have questions and answers when they get back in a few days. No need to get harsh.

No bashing at all, just an fyi. Thought maybe others were just off the same ship and can submit another side to the story. My dad is 73 and is very active, still runs his own business. Mom is 67. This is there 10th cruise. They have done a few with us along with some of there own. Because they dont like to dress up, they prefer the buffets as they can eat when they want, what they want.

My parents just got off the Epic today and were very disappointed. This is the 2nd cruise with NCL. I don't have a lot of details but one of the main things is the buffet, where they only eat, forces you to a single file line to get food, even if you want something small at the end of the line. So the hot food you put on your plate is cold by the time you are out of line and at your table.

what does it cost for an hour private lesson? Per person/group?

210 days until our B2B on the Oasis. Just got air this week about half the cost of what RCCL was charging. And we fly out of our local airport.
