  1. I had to hit resend for my phone and email. Check where you don’t have the green check marks. And redo the whole section if need be.  Otherwise call their tech support (what I ended up doing) and they walked me through everything until I was at 100%

I’m thinking they may offer a different deal near Black Friday.

We booked a cruise last year during Black Friday and it was great. We booked a balcony and got all 5 perks at that time. Prices were decent, and as they dropped prior to the cruise, they honored the price drop in the form of an awesome room upgrade and I kept the perks!

im looking forward to booking during this sale also again this year

  3. We have done two repo cruises the last two October’s and there were always a few kids. First was through royal and they didn’t have as much going on. Last year on ncl. They had Halloween for them, saw kids at the pool, etc I believe they said there was about 60 kids on board last oct. families we spoke to said there kids still loved the programs as the staff ratios were so low

  4. Unless you are super particular, hold off and book closer to the cruise. We are doing a transatlantic in April my sister and niece paid 849 per person( plus fees) for an inside guarantee. As of today, balconies are less than that. And now they have two perks added with more onboard credit!!

Inside cabins are even less now. I think with one perk it is only 699 so even if you had to pay double that as you are alone it’s still less than what you were looking at

  5. ok, so my husband is a good sport and wears all the Hawaiian type shirts the kids have bought him over the years for his cruises. We have always cruised the Caribbean so on casual nights he’d wear a different shirt with dockers

This year we are going on a transatlantic to Northern Europe and I realized he really doesn’t have many collared shirts other than his cruise shirts. Will people wear those shirts on a transatlantic cruise or should I get him a few plain polo and button downs to wear with his dockers?

  6. We usually stick with inside cabin-for me, id rather cruise more often and that means we go with the lower priced rooms. Not always ( in a spa balcony on next trip)

Anyway, you can definitely ask your cabin attendant for a regular chair. We’ve done it with my mom. One time we were actually brought a white plastic Lawn chair which she could also use in the shower. Another time it was a regular dining room type chair. I would think you wouldn’t need to lug a camping chair with

  7. We were on the jade this past fall. There were two main dining rooms with same exact menus. One was for the “typical” cruise cadual and even dressier cruisers. The other one was for more casual dress-people wore shorts and T-shirt’s. It was a smaller dining room which also made it nice. We would still dress up a bit but didn’t feel awkward sitting next to shorts on one side and a nice dress on the other side

  8. hi, we are taking the Amtrak to Penn station for our cruise getting there around 930 on a Sunday morning. I figured the best way to get to the cruise terminal will be by a taxi. Does any one have any better ideas? Uber? Walk? Subway? There will be 5 of us plus luggage for a 12 night cruise so we would need two cars. What is the approximate cost per taxi/Uber and how long will it take to drive there?

    THank you for any info/tips/etc

  9. We were on the 12 day Jade repo cruise this past oct/nov and there were kids of all ages which surprised me because the previous year we did an almost identical RCCL repo cruise and there were few kids

I think there will always be some kids no matter when you go. The kids I saw were having a great time. Kids camps provided some great attention and fun to the smaller group

  10. :D

New to NCL (well it has been YEARS) since we sailed on the Dawn. I see 2 sizes of wine pours - are both (if under $15) included in the UBC? If so, how to you ask for the larger glass? Just tell them we want the larger pour?

    Thanks!

Yes, that’s all we did. I’m not a wine connoisseur so what they had available for $15 a glass is fine by me. I just asked for a long pour and got a nice big glass:D

  11. Not sure which cruise lines sail the itinerary but just wanted to add that my kids have cruised since they were young. They are in their 20s now but still have great memories of the kids camps they have gone to they have been to carnival, NCL, and royal Caribbean and have loved them all It was nice as parents to have a couple nights as a “date” night and often times my kids didn’t want to leave because they were having so much fun

  12. We had this perk for the first time on our last cruise and thought it was definitely worth it! We arent huge drinkers but you can try all those fun drinks and if you dont like it, get another kind. We enjoyed champagne, wine with dinner, shots of goldschlager poolside during their German party, etc. a couple times my hubby got beers and asked them not to open them (grolsch) and he brought them back to the room to enjoy there. They always allowed us to order 2 drinks at a time so only one of us had to go to the bar. Only thing we felt, there weren’t enough pushy bar servers on pool days. We actually had to go to the bar rather than them trying to sell/push the drinky drinkys lol

  13. Myself my DD, my sister and her Dd all want to get the therma spa for our upcoming trip. They’ll book there’s ahead of time but we need to wait until we are onboard. My daughter has chronic migraines (thus wanting a nice quiet area to relax) but sometimes smells trigger the migraines. I know the spa part where you go for massages always smells of essential oils. But does the thermal suite smell of this also? Might be a deal breaker. We are going on the breakaway transatlantic and figured thecwarmer spa area would be very nice
