Tried to book Honolulu accessible tour, but all booked up. I’m wondering if they’ll have a waiting list for this tour. Anybody experienced this and heard of a waiting list on some tours that sell out.

Is the elite bar set up free!

There was an entrance on deck 6 to the lower area of the theatre on the Crown last year for wheelchairs, scooters etc.,.We are on the Ruby this year, does anyone know if we can access the Lower theatre on the ruby on deck 6. Have looked at the deck map and can’t figure it out!

Where can I find an updated wine list.

I was aware that it was 1 bottle per guest at embarkation, but thought if you bring on any more at port stops, you would have to drink in your cabin.
Thank you all!- 1

Can we bring wine on board, other than the two allowed, pay the $15?dollars corkage and drink anywhere on board including dining room!

We like to share and meet different people most nights for dinner. I have pre booked our dining table for 8 for our cruise which starts on 10th September. If we don’t wish to share a table the odd night, then it looks as if it is easy to cancel and just go to a walk in dining room instead. Just wondering if I am reading this properly. In general we really enjoy our cruises with Princess, but it really shouldn’t be this difficult to get an evening meal, should it?

I am wondering if a lot people will be happy to go back to just walking into dining ng room at ANY TIME and for this reason there might be long lines for Anytime Dining! What do you think!

Which ship? For what it's worth, I never smelled smoke in any Princess dining room (over 30 cruises.)
Neither have I and I have asthma and I’m particularly sensitive to smoke!

Yes, but I don’t go to the buffet unless I have to. I find the food is either cold or dried up and I like to sit down and be served!

Yes, he can manage a few stairs and make his way inside holding onto the backs of chairs. His scooter does fold down and breaks into 2 parts and is also airline approved. This is a New England & Maritime cruise and I suppose it also depends on the terrain at these ports.
thank you for your help! -
Are there tours offered/allowed for disabled passengers. My hubby uses a small, collapsible travel scooter?

We were on the Crown last September and we loved the food and entertainment. The desserts were particularly good - too good, if the truth be known! lol.

Looking forward to your live posts. We sail on the Crown to Hawaii on March 9th. Anxious to hear if all the bad reviews of the Crown are warranted. I hope you enjoy your cruise and the warm weather.
We sailed on the Crown from Vancouver to Alaska last September/October. We were very pleased with both the food and entertainment. The weather was dismal at that time, but the food and entertainment were both very good! She is an older/smaller ship, but as husband is disabled, this made it less tiring for him. One of our best cruises ever!

You've got us all holding our breath! What was the outcome?
I heard back from my Princess Planner that we are definitely booked, and that when you book an excursion and PAY for it, it is no longer in your cart! This makes sense now. It’s just like goin to the supermarket, you buy your goods and then it is no longer in your cart! Our Planner, Terry Hobson, is the best. All is well!

Thanks everybody!

We are due to board the Crown in a few days time and because I was late booking I could only book 1 excursion in Skagway on the train. Went into excursions this morning and my booking has disappeared. Has this happened to anybody else?

Is it still possible to just walk in to dinner in the evening. We don’t really want to be stuck in one time slot, which would depen on how our day has gone. I understand we might have to wait, but would take our chances!

I have probably gone on 30+ cruises with a disabled parent (who did not need wheel chair assistance). We were also Elite. We were almost always the first people on the ship. We have boarded in LA, Vancouver, FLL, Miami, NYC, Quebec City, San Juan, etc.... Since I don't live near a port - we always have to go to a port.
In my experience, those with disabilities would go first, then Elite/Suite passengers.
We are usually at the pier early. I have never seen those who need wheelchairs wait but I have never gone to the pier later in the day. We are always there early.
Thank you all for your help re: my concerns with embarking at Vancouver with my hubby who is disabled. Thanks to your posts, we are now a bit more knowledgeable than before. We are a couple who have cruised lots (don’t know how many) and we, I believe, have enjoyed all of them and intend to carry on cruising, and believe we can do it with a bit more thought, planning and equipment! Thank you also for whoever posted the 50% discount list. I didn’t know there was such a thing.

Just make sure the power chair will fit through the door of your cabin. You cannot leave it out in the hall
I absolutely know this. His power chair collapses and turns sideways and will fit through the door. I made a point of buying a TRAVEL chair!

Those with disabilities usually have priority check-in. I would travel with a parent who was blind and had a Seeing Eye dog and we were always prioritized. The people at all the piers we were at were great (including Vancouver).
Thank you! I have been worried about this. He has travelled with his walker in the past, but now needs the chair. We are going to Alaska on the Crown in a few weeks’ time.
