  1. We have sailed in Princess once and there were really no issues. Didn't do the meet up thing. I would things we saw maybe closer to dozens rather than hundreds. Most recent cruise was Royal Caribbean this Feb and same thing.... dozens. Did notice the meet up and it was all men -we are women- and there were maybe 8 couples. The others noticing place was the dance areas late at night. That was a BLAST! Before that was Carnival, same amount and then before Princess was Norwegian, we were part of a group of three couples, so hung with our group. We will se what our next adventure brings, Mexican Riviera in Feb out of LA. Good luck and Happy Sailing!

  2. I have never been on an Olivia cruise although my wife and I really like to cruise. If not for the expense we would like to try it, and we may one day. However, I LOVE the idea of cruising with a group of "sisters" on a non-Olivia cruise. Cruisecritic even has a member cruise board where members can organize cruises for groups! Any Takers???

We would love to join in; would depend on the timing. Presently, we are headed to Hawaii Sept 2009, for a 12 day Carnival cruise including the islands then cruising to Ensenada, MX. We are in the Mpls St Paul area.

  3. :)Hi All,Well im going on my 5th cruise again!! I can't wait!!! Anyone going on the "Freedom of the Seas" May 24th,2009?? Im going with my girl and some friends also. Our friends that are all going with us have never been on a cruise before. This should be so very interesting and lots of fun!!!!

Has anyone ever done the western caribbean before?? We want to go on some of the excursions but not sure to which ones,- maybe go swim with the dolphins, parasailing, etc.Any suggestions??

Our first cruise together was the Western Cribbean in 2005. As far as the shore excursions, we went swimming on a beach in Cozumel the shopping. each ok - a bit crowded, but nice and relaxing. Also did an excursion to Belize, another beach trip where some of our party went snorkling but we just tethered and swam around the boat in the middle of the Caribbean - what a fun time. The hightlight was, and I would recommend this to anyone, is if you can go to Rotaan. We toured a park there where some people were "zip stripping" (I think thats the term). Toward the end, we played with the birds and MONKEYS !!!! They were so cute. It actually was the highlight of our trip.

Have fun. The Caribbean is beautiful !

  4. Let's throw out some ideas of places everyone would like to go to perhaps in 2010 so we can maybe come up with a plan of attack.

By the way my name is caron and my partners name is jane. we are 46 & 47 together 6 years. Would love to have some friends that are interested in cruising as we are. As I have said before we generally go yearly. We would like to go to Hawaii or the bahama's next year. But not sure how Hawaii would be on a cruise. Anyone else have any idea's?

It leaves Honolulu the 28th and we sail the islands, then sail back to Ensanada, MX, flying back to Mpls/StPaul from San Diego. I am WIlma and my partners name is Sarna - shes originally from Rolla, MO by the way
