We were on the Sapphire Princess last year and our flight out of LAX was 6:00 pm. The plan was to stay on the ship as late as possible then go to the airport and wait. But while on the ship we booked a post cruise tour called "Long Beach on Your Own" through the Shore Excursion Desk. The bus takes you to Long Beach to do whatever you want to do for several hours. We visited the Aquarium and had lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Then at a specified time the bus returns to take you to LAX.

Sunseeker tours quoted us $69 for a half day tour plus $25 for airport drop off. A bit much for a half day tour.

We will be returning to LA on the Sapphire Princess on the morning of Feb 15th, and our flight from LAX isn't until 1700 - we were wondering if there are any suggestions on what to do with a day(ish) before heading to LAX?

It looks like you are on our same cruise. Our flight isn't till 1600 hours. We'd be interested in an LA tour with drop off at the airport if we can find one. 2 adults and 1 9yr old with us.

Regarding wine....The Von's at 13th & Gaffey has the typical selection of wines. San Pedro also has a wine shop....Off the Vine...it's walking distance from the CP and I'm sure the DT shuttle will take you there as well. Off the Vine has a more select choice and a great variety from different wine regions. And it has a tasting area......:D

We went there on the Friday night before our cruise, they were very accomodating considering we showed up 15 minutes before close and stayed a little after closing. Thanks for the tips and the fun mothers day tasting. We later found out our friends from the cruise also were there earlier that evening.

Oops, sorry. Didn't see that it leaves from Ballantyne pier.

The infinity leaves from Canada Place. I live in Burnaby and from Metrotown to downtown it would take about 30 minutes. Downtown vancouver are mostly 1 way streets. And there is Alamo right at Canada Place. Hope this helps.
