  1. I am sailing from Lisbon to Miami and have been offered an upgrade from Veranda to Penthouse, but the suite is handicapped assessible. I don’t mind the walk in shower witha bench but is it a good idea. We are on Sojourn and the suite is 635. The cost is less than 1000.00

Any insignt would be greatly appreciated.

  2. We have received one piece of luggage that is ours and one piece that is not ours. we have 4 tracking numbers but have not received the other 2.

The luggage that is not ours is someone from Sanibel Island Florida, so if you see this message, please contact me and we were told we could get it to you rather than having it go back to France.

Hope everyone has good luck getting the correct luggage.

  3. Hello fellow travellers. We are on the other side of South America on the Explorer. 2 days ago we received news of a positive Covid 19 test. Since then we have been on lockdown with very little news as to our options. We have not been allowed our exercise time and hope that they will soon follow the model you seem to have. They are feeding us fairly well, although my husband wants a hamburger and fries which is not being offered. We are ordering our quarantinis. We were supposed to o to Ar Island, but that has ben cancelled. We were then all supposed to disembark next Wednesday in Valparaiso. The frustration is not having any information. If they would just tell us we have to roam around for 14 days, then we would complai

  4. We are traveling on the Silver Muse for the first time in September. We are making our dinner reservations and are wondering if the 2 specialty restaurants with the extra surcharge a worth going to. I believe one is La Dame and the other is a Japanese restaurant with a show. This cruise actually goes to Japan and I wonder if this will be great or we will have more authentic options once there.

  5. Have received a check today for the cruise fare. We were told that a different department is handling reimbursement of other expenses. We were so looking forward to the Transatlantic but I guess it was not to be.

  6. I haven’t done anything but book the cruise. I need to buy insurance and then I will look at the details of excursions. We whave been to Gibralter and the cave and monkeys are a lot of fun. Just don’t have any food in your pockets or they will be all over you. A poor oman was in line in front of us and she forgot she had food in her backpack. They were all over her head, pulling her hair. She was petrified. The rest of us just pushed them away.

  7. Hello all,

We have just booked the Transatlantic. We too are Seabourn regulars and hope the experience lives up to the hype. We are in Suite 516 so hello to the poster in 515. Thanks for all of the info so far.

  8. Oh No!!! We will board on Saturday with my brother and sister-in-law who have never been on Seabourn. We have been non stop to the point of being obnoxious in our praise of Seabourn. We have sailed with a few other lines in the past few years mainly because of itineraries and friends who were sailing and we were so looking forward to total paradise when we returned to the Odyssey. I'm not looking for perfection just total pampering and being made to feel special.

  9. I am also interested in a response. I have been told by my travel agent, that we will only get a ship credit back if we cancel, not a dollar refund. To buy trip insurance privately is about 30% more than Seabourn is quoting. I am mainly interested because I have an elderly mother who is fine right now but at 95 anything could happen at any time. I would want something with a pre-existing waiver since she is on some meds but perfectly stable and self sufficient.

  10. We will be on the Voyager in Dec with what was supposed to be a 3 day stop in Myanmar. Due to some strange explanations it will now be a 2 day stop. Question is, should we just take the offered tours which include the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda as well as some cultural events which I guess to be dance performances OR do we sign up for the overnight to go to Bagan which is $1000.00/person. If we go to Bagan it will be the only thing we do because of the shortened stay.

I know everyone will have different opinions, but I would love to hear your thoughts.

    Thanks,

    Phyllis

  11. I am very disappointed that even though I went onto the website to book my excursions within 5 minutes of the allowed date, there were 6 that were already sold out. Some of these were the free ones and some were the ones that we pay for. Since I have not travelled on Regent since they included excursions, what is the expectation for them to add more availability. I know some frequent flyers are allowed to book earlier than us newbies, but it does seem fair that on day 1, we are already shut out. My travel agent has called but the response was to "just keep checking". Is there a wait list? I ultimately would not be happy to go this far and spend this much and not be able to see what I am willing to pay for, or really want to see. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

  12. We have only sailed on Regent once before they offered their included excursions. We will be doing a back to back Dubai to Sidney, Sidney to Auckland. While we have certainly chosen many of the included excursions and they look to be interesting, we want to make sure that we are not missing something special by passing up the ones that we need to pay for. I have tried to research the best I can, but I can get very little information about some of the choices. When I speak to Regent, they say they can' give me any suggestions. My travel agent certainly hasn't been to a lot of these places. I guess my real question is this. Do I assume that just because they are charging for an excursion, it suggests that it will be a bit more special. I do not want to have gone this distance and missed something that I will later regret.

Specifically the excursions that we are considering are Mungalla Aboriginal Cattle Station $179/person, Mt Tamborine 4 wheel drive in Brisbane $179/person, Sovereign Hill and Ballorat in Melbourne $99/ person, Borobadur in Indonesia,$129./person, Mt Hagen Cultural Experience in Papua $1099/ person and the Great Barrier Reef Adventure for $199/person.

Sorry for the long post, but any input would be greatly appreciated.

  13. We are on the Voyager Dubai to Singapore in Dec. Regent just announced an excursion out of Port Moresby Papua New Guinea, going to the Mt Hagen Cultural Experience. This in NOT the annual cultural event that is listed on many sites, as a " do not miss", but rather a visit to the town, with a "traditional performance", then on to Paiagona Village for another tribal experience. The big festival takes place in August and we will be going in January. The cost is $1100/person. Does anyone know if this is worth the money and effort. It includes a flight to get there and return same day. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  14. We are booked on the Voyager Dubai to Singapore in December 2016. There is a 3 day stop in Mumbai. Regent is offering a 2 night excursion to the Taj Mahal, Basically we leave the ship at 5:00am, fly to Dehli, 4 1/2 hour drive to Taj Mahal. See Taj for 2 hours at sunset, go to hotel for dinner and show, then go back at dawn for 2 hours. We then have 2 hours for choosing another activity, then return to Dehli, sleep overnight and leave at 5:00am to return to ship. It is fairly expensive.

Has anyone done this 2 night excursion and would you recommend it, or is it too rushed. We have never been to India and don't know if we will get another chance to see the Taj.

  15. We are 9 adults and 8 children ranging in age from 8 months to 7 years. We have been assigned 2nd seated and are wait listed for first seating. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we might get first seating. There is no way the kids can start dinner at 8:00pm. Would it be better to see if individual families can be moved rather than wait for all of us? Does calling frequently annoy them or spur them to accommodate us? We are on Disney Magic for a 3 night cruise to try it out.
