  1. I haven't read this whole thread so apologies if I am repeating information.  I found the 'library' on Onward today after having been on her for a week.  There are books located on the port side of The Den (behind a partition wall).  Some are for exchange that guests have left and some are to be kept onboard.  There are also quite a lot of travel books and food related books (all brand new) on the shelves in The Den.  Still lots of quiet places to sit and read.

  2. We are on the Onward B2B turnaround day today.  Yesterday at 5:15 we had a meeting in the Cabaret Lounge with champagne/juice and hors d'oevres.  Short meeting with B2B info.  No testing needed.  We stayed in the same cabin.  This morning we were asked to go to Mosaic and wait to be called.  We were given our new keys and went down to 4 and gave them our old keys and got our photo taken for the new keys.  So easy.  We were in Ravenna yesterday and today.  Azamara provided complimentary bus transportation into and back from Ravenna both days.  You were free to leave the ship today anytime.  There is a beach close to the ship that looks nice, however, the port is all fenced in so it appears to be quite walk to get there.  It was nice to have the ship to ourselves for a few hours.  They served a nice lunch for the B2B guests.  We went into Ravenna yesterday not realizing that we could have gone in today instead.  We talked with a few people who went to San Marino yesterday and said that it was quite a nice excursion.  Not sure how many overnights are on the schedule for Ravenna, but that it the experience this cruise.  On to Athens!  This is our first time on Azamara and loving CD Eric DeGray and Caption Carl Smith.

  3. Does anyone know if Azamara will accept a Documentation of Recovery Letter in lieu of a negative Covid test to board (Italy)?  I tested positive a few weeks before our cruise.  I understand that I can test positive for awhile and don't want to take a chance.  I checked Azamara's website and the only thing I can find is that they will not accept the Recovery Documentation in lieu of being vaccinated but since I am fully vaccinated that doesn't answer my question.  I will try to get ahold of Azamara but wondered if anyone has recently had experience with this.  Thank you.

Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Life has been crazy since I finally got home, will try to post more tomorrow or Friday.

Jamie:  it was so nice to meet you and missed you on the B2B. FYI - they did get limes and more mint for our 2nd leg but Mike finished off the Patrone and Dahlwinnie Scotch in the bars so it was time for us to get off!  Hoping all is going well for your husband and that our paths cross again on another cruise. Jean and Mike.

I do already have a Captain's Club membership.  Not sure how many points I have because it has been a long time since I have sailed Celebrity.  I was looking at the Summit sailing out of NJ going to Bermuda & Charleston.  Is it true that drinks are included?  Is there a limit...not that I'm a big drinker just wondering if there is a limit.

Thanks to all who have given me feedback.  I really appreciate it.

We just got off of Summit and had the classic drink package (was included). No limit on number of drinks per day.  Limit of $9 per drink but if the drink that you want is over that you pay the difference plus 20% gratuity

  6. RE:  the drink package - on the wine by the glass there are some that are less and some that are over your alloted amount per drink.  Be sure when you order be sure you ask for the right one.  My husband ordered the 'cabernet' and the waiter brought him the more expensive one.  Didn't realize til I checked our account that he was charged for the $14 cabernet.  Next time he asked by brand also.  Lesson learned.

  7. We had an NCL cruise booked last year and part of the promotion was ‘free drinks’.  I don’t remember what the cap was but we were going to have to pay the gratuities on the value of the package which would have amounted to over $200.  I’m happy with the HAL promotion.  If I go over the 15 per day I will get my water for the next day and pay for that and use the 15 for more expensive items.

  8. I understand that it is a mile or so from the dock to get to the town of Hoonah.  I think that I read somewhere that there is a 'shuttle' that will take you there for $5 (each way?).  I'm debating on whether to go on my own or take the ship's tour (Holland America).  We are leaving Seattle on August 28 so wondering if this is an option for this year.  Thank you in advance for information on this port.  We are scheduled to be in port from 6 - 10 pm.
