I wouldn't know how you would anchor it, unless you have a stand for it.
Also you would have to bring in to your cabin when not in Use. You are not allowed to leave anything on the balcony unattended.
I would bring a water fillable base and yes, take it inside when not in use.
I want to make sure it's not against any rules or regulations or against cruise-code.

We have an aft balcony reserved and the complaint about it is no overhang so there is zero shade and privacy. Luckily this balcony also has no wind. Are we allowed to bring a large beach umbrella and set it up on the balcony? Thoughts? Thanks!

Looking for advice because we are usually Celebrity people and they don't have anything for the time we can travel. We love the aft balconies because of the quiet and ocean sounds. We also like it because they have a bit bigger balconies. We are on the Royal in Feb of 20 in cabin R735. Found a few things on here but haven't been able to find any pics of this particular balcony and if it could be worth it. We don't care about the cabin, but love the balcony space. Any pics would be appreciated. Also have a question on formal nights. We love dressing up for dinner quite a bit, but have been sadly disappointed when we are dressed to the nine's and others are in jeans. Would not be a problem if we knew in advance. It is a Mexico itinerary so would a tux and long gown be WAY too much? Thank you!
How was your experience with R735? Soot, noise, privacy, air quality, motion sickness? We have it reserved for 2020, thanks!

Eddie, how was the soot, air quality, motion sickness in these aft balcony cabins? I have Caribe C742 reserved for next year. Also, does the middle divider on the balcony open up to connect C743? That's where my brother is booked so we want the kids to play, thanks.

Does anyone have pictures or comments on the deluxe premium balcony on Deck 10 Caribe or Deck 9 Dolphin. This would be aft at back of ship facing the wake. Size of balcony, soot problems. Thank you.
Did you end up staying on Deck 10 or Deck 9 aft deluxe premium balconies? We are scheduled for these next year and want to know how it went. Soot problems, air quality, motion sickness, privacy, etc. Thanks!

Can anyone comment on the level of motion at the aft of these cruise ships? Is it that much more noticeable than mid-ship for people who are more prone to seasickness?
Also, how is the air quality at the aft of the ship? I read some complaints about soot and poor air quality and raised some concerns.
We just booked Caribe C742 and C743 on the Royal Princess. Could anyone comment on if the center divider on the balcony can be opened to connect both balconies?
Thank you!
Large Beach Umbrella for Balcony

Just basing this off of other reviews of this particular cruise, cabin, and balcony. Multiple sources said zero wind and to a point where it was a bit uncomfortable without a breeze. They even recommended a fan!
