Afterall I am just happy, that there might be a chance, that we can get money back, instead of FCCs or any kind of voucher.
But, even if it is the law, I do not expect too much ;-(

Called the german MSC hotline today!
They told us, that we are on a list of customers, how asked for a refund instead of FCCs. A lawyer is checking those cases, if we can get the refund.
The woman I talked to could not tell me, what exactly the lawyer is checking and how long it takes. But we have a little hope now, to get the refund.
We send a (real) letter, right after MSC cancelled all Cruises, that put us on the list.

My CC company told me today, it is too late now for a Chargeback.
I try to call MSC and try to get more information about those FCCs. May there is a was to use them after 2021.

Just got an email from MSC about the FCC!
They are valid until 12/21, we can not cruise the next year. Does anybody have an idea, what to do now? We are from Germany, but MSC seems to be in Switzerland.

Yes, I'm from Germany!
I finally received a reply from a representative from MSC who wrote me that "a refund of the travel value is currently not possible."
I then filed a complaint with the European Consumer Center Germany (https://www.evz.de/en/questions-complaints/) and recently heard back from them that they cannot arbitrate the dispute because MSC is based in a non-EU country (Switzerland).
I'm now filing the same complaint with the Universalschlichtungsstelle des Bundes (https://www.verbraucher-schlichter.de/start) to start an arbitration with the German MSC office.
Please feel free to send me a private message with your email. When I try to send you a message it says "This feature is disabled."

sorry for my late reply. Are you from Germany? I can post my Mail, right now, we did not get any answer from MSC, execpt to wait.

Same here, just called the German Hotline, which could see my E-Mail which we sent right after our Cruise was canceled and asked for a refund instead of a FCC.
They could not say anything and asked us to wait a little bit longer until they know how to handle people who refused their FCC offer. If any of you German like to contact me, feel free by sending a PM here.
Did anyone get their prebooked activities refunded, like they said in their E-Mail?

Got an E-Mail today from MSC, they confirmed, that we get a Refund instead of FCCs!
They asked that we wait another 60 days before the money might back on our CC. Let see, if this is really gonna happen.
