    We're on Allure in 26 and 29 days.  In mid-September, I was able to reserved seats for Momma Mia (don't miss it - its much better than you first imagine), Blades (ice shows are ALWAYS good), and Aqua Aria.  We Chose not to reserve the comedy show.  Check after midnight or the very first thing in the morning.  Use the phone ap and not your browser.  Check under "entertainment."

    But the kicker is that we were only able to reserve shows on the first sailing.  We still cannot reserve the second sailing shows.

    I don’t know if your sailing is 3 or 4 nights but here are the 3 night choices:

      * Momma Mia - Day 1, 8pm; One other that we didn’t choose.

      * Blades - Day 1, 8:15pm or10:15pm; Day 3, 7pm.

      * Ocean Aria - Day 2, 10pm ; One other that we didn’t choose.

      * Comedy – We did not book.

      * I did not see Blue Planet for the 3 night sailing.

    Thanks so much!  We are on a 4 night sailing but I get the gist.  Weird that your second sailing booking yet.

  2. We have not cruised yet on a ship that needed many show reservations.  I think we will need to make them on Allure.  First, which things will we need a reservation for?  Second, when will we be able to make them? Does the option to book eventually show up in my cruise planner or do you do it once you board? (Our cruise is at the end of January)

    Things are a complete shambles right now.

    Early this morning only showing 1 South Beach Cabana and I put it in my cart.

    Then later it showed Sold Out.

    I went back to my cart and it was still there. I attempted to process the payment but it said it didn't go through. So I did it again and again.

    So now I have 2 reservations for South Beach Cabana in my orders and 3 charges to my CC.

    This is going to be fun.

  4. My drink package went from 84+ to 67+.  However, I was playing around with adding and subtracting because there was also a combination voom/deluxe drink package and I want to compare that vs the drinks and the key.  When I decided on the latter, I went back to add each separately and now the deluxe drinks said 77+ !  I added it to my cart but there it reflected the 67+ price.  Whew.  I must have got in under the wire.  If I look again, still says 77+  and the combo package says "sold out".  Must only have so much at each price.

  5. OP here.  I received both emails too.  For the cruise fare one that started today, I tried to "book" our cruise again using the early bird/"skip the line" link.  There was a $2 difference between the new and old booking.  I think we already have a decent deal on our balcony room so I'm not really disappointed - just annoyed at the "sale".  I am hoping for better luck with our drink package tomorrow.  $85 a day seems really pricey.  Fingers crossed for discounts tomorrow on drinks and excursions.

  6. Sorry if this has been asked and answered a bunch.  I can't find a thread that give me a good enough answer.  With Voom, if I want to communicate with people at home, will texting work for free?  Or would I have to use a messenging app like Facebook Messenger?  How about phone calls?

     Last week when we arrived at the port there was a huge queue for COCID testing. We were told onboard that 1200 passengers had failed their tests in the 2 days since they had to be done.

    Can you clarify what you mean by this? 1200 of which passengers? 2 days since what had to be done, testing?

    I am on the Enchantment right now— What do you want to know?

    Just about every mixed drink is $13. Glasses of wine are $13. “Drink of the Day” are $10.  Beers are $9-10.

    Thank you!  That gives me a good idea of them!  I hope you are enjoying your cruise.

    Agreed....Facial Recognition works as you depart the ship in most US Ports now.  You don't even have to pull out your Passport..just look at the Cam...it dings, and the Rep tells your your done....go home

    So, is there any reporting on the number of people that are quarantined because of contact tracing vs because they tested positive or feel ill?  And how long do you have to stay quarantined if you don't develop symptoms?

    If someone is seated next to you in the MDR or any restaurant, or if someone sits next to you at a slot machine or at a blackjack table, pool, or anywhere, they can identify you and quarantine you to your room. This is BS. I was all set and ready to go, but this contact tracing is crazy. I’m holding off to see if RCL cancels the cruise.

    I'm not quite understanding the contact tracing either.  I suppose they know who you sit near in the MDR but who knows the first/last names and/or cabin numbers of the person next to them at the slot machine or on the next bar stool?

    Make sure they do show up.  I had to call them, and they claimed to have no record of it.  Had to look up and take screenshots of the transaction ID’s and email to them.  It took over an hour on the phone with them.

    Since they are refundable OBC, if they are unused, they refund cash to the card.  At least that is the way they work after you sail.  I assume they would do the same if you cancel after they appear on the on board account.  Never canceled a cruise though.

    Thanks for the tip about screenshotting.  But are you saying that if I put $100 of OBC from my credit card rewards on my sailing but only use $80, they will put the remaining $20 back as a credit on my credit card?

    Also, I am trying to wait till the last minute to transfer mine too.  Once "redeemed" how long does it take to apply it to your cruise?  Not sure how long to wait to do the redemption.

  12. For obvious reasons, I've been holding off as long as possible making our final payment - it's due tomorrow.  We decided to bite the bullet and pay and hope for the best with our cruise.  However, when I log in to pay my balance and after entering my reservation number and other details, the system says the cruise information I entered doesn't match their records.  But it does.  I triple checked it.  Tried calling but the recording says they are closed.  Anyone else have an issue like this?  I don't see a way to pay on the app - am I missing anything there?  Hopefully they are open tomorrow?  Maybe all of this is a sign?

  13. Thanks everyone, I'll keep checking - kicking myself for not grabbing it at $50.  Haven't looked at any of this in so long - I just assumed that was the typical price as it was in the past.   In fact, I think I got it for $39 on my last cruise three years ago!

    Now, I'm wondering if the on board prices of drinks have also increased so much.  That would play a role in whether 50 or 70 is worth it to someone.
