can this be setup on the ship without a laptop to get into the Admin? Is there an ethernet jack in the stateroom or does this have to be connected to wifi then act as a hotspot?

I am on the ship. One internet package as per "the Deal"

Put my phone into hotspot mode. My wife signed into my hotspot and was able to access the internet. Did a speed test on Ookla and it was ok.

You do not need a travel/wifi router if you bring a Windows laptop or a Mac, they have a "wifi repeater" function built-in, just search your laptop for "hotspot"

very cool, I didn't know this. Works fine with my Windows 11 laptop on a test from home. So, if this works with the laptop, I should be able to use my Pixel phone with the MSC wifi connection and enable Hotspot so my wife can check her email. I was just concerned that some Phone carriers don't allow you to Tether your cell signal and share it and was wondering if MSC wifi might have this restriction too. Considering how they like "nickle and diming" you on everything

Apparently you chose the Best rate, not Best Value

We purchased the "Best Value" package in order to get Wi-Fi but when we later read the details, it says "INTERNET ACCESS FOR 1 DEVICE". Does that mean you have to register say one phone and its the only device that can access the internet or is it one of our two phones cannot simultaneously access wifi? If so, does MSC allow you to setup the one registered device as a "Hotspot" or "tether" so the other phone can access internet?
