We are embarking from Montreal on the Insignia next month. Canada requires a Covid test before boarding the ship. Has anybody been tested in Montreal, and if so, where was it done, and what type of test?
Thank you,

We are embarking on a cruise from Montreal next month. I see that we need a negative Covid Antigen test within 48 hours before boarding the ship. We arrive in Montreal a day early which complies the process and will need to be tested in Montreal. Any information on ways to do this will be greatly appreciated. We are staying at the Inter-Continental Hotel.

This problem continues. The website gets stuck on “loading cart.” Oceania reps are not helpful saying they cannot help with the Website and will not refer me to an IT person. I sent an e-mail to webservices@oceaniacruises.com on Friday and have not received a response. Is this a general problem or is there a glitch with our account preventing us from seeing our selected excursions?

Three months. It looks like an IT problem.

Since yesterday, I have been unable to view the shore excursion cart. This happens with both my laptop and Ipad.
Has anybody else had this problem?

There is a company called Sydney and Cape Breton Taxi Tours which has some interesting options. Does anybody have experience with them?

Do Oceania ships dock at the Black Falcon terminal or elsewhere in Boston? We will be on the Insignia in October.
Thank you.

Here is a stupid question. What is an O Life tour and what makes it different from others?

By booking a minimum five excursions with 25% off, does the discount apply to all tours booked, or only the fifth tour?

We are looking at a Uniworld cruise in October 2022 that starts in Avignon and ends in Lyon. According to the itinerary, the boat does not actually begin to move up the river from Avignon until the third day. Is this the norm for Rhone cruises?

Today I accidently posted the same topic twice today on the Ports of Call/Caribbean/Guadalupe board. It is titled “Snorkeling in Guadalupe Worth an Excursion?”
How do I delete it? Or can you delete it for me.
Thanks,

Is snorkling in Guadalupe a good option for our day there? We are considering a Snorkle excursion at Guadalupe that goes to the Marine Nature Reserve. We already have snorkling scheduled in Bonaire and are considering Aruba and Barbados.

Tallinn is a perfect DIY port. We also took a taxi to the Russian Orthodox Church at the top of the hill and then walked back to the ship through the old town in a leisurely manner. The fare was 20 Euros.

We were on the Marina last May and docked in Bordeaux about a ten minute walk from the center of the city. It was a wonderful and scenic location

Are excursions booked prior to a cruise refundable? If so, how far in advance must the excursion cancellation be made. Thanks for your help!

I started it last week and the first hundred or so pages are somewhat tedious, but provide a valuable background. I am now in the French construction period and find the book more interesting as I move forward. My canal transit will be in a January on the Windstar Star Breeze, and this book will make the experience more interesting and meaningful!

The lack of piano time is the evening is an annoyance for us too. We enjoy relaxing with a drink and music before going into dinner in the MDR. Last year there was a brief window of music which ended about 7:00. We found out the 'break" lasted two or so hours. We like Oceania's low-key, classy ambiance, but this is an area for improvement. We gave our feedback and I hope others will too.

Oceania is more low-key than cruise lines such as Princess and Celebrity , and there are very few children. The adult demographic is older, but in my opinion, the average passenger is more healthy and fit.

Cartagena looks like an excellent DIY port. The Toms Port Guides website has an excellent profile of Cartagena. Here is the link.

Where does Oceania dock in Lisbon? Knowing which cruise terminal would be a big help in determining whether to take a tour or go DIY. Thanks you for input.

For a first-time port of call in Lisbon, should we concentrate our one day in Lisbon itself or add Sintra to a tour? I know Sintra is wonderful, but also do not want to spread ourselves too thin.

We will likely book the same cruise. I suggest you go on to the "Roll Call" on Cruise Critic for the cruise, and state your interests, and look for passengers looking for people to join a tour, or join one you are organizing. It is still early so there is not a lot of activity yet. Meanwhile, on Trip Advisor in "Things to Do" on the Bordeaux forum you will see tour companies offering the sort of day tours you want.

So sorry to hear Tom passed away. I heard the sad news when trying to log onto his site today in preparation for a cruise later this month. Tom will be missed!
