  1. We are due to travel on march 22nd, our holiday is fully paid up for the Spirit of Iberia cruise from Malaga, with the virus now showing up in Portugal as well as Italy this is somewhat worrying, I did ring our insurance to inform them of a broken toe (believe it or not broke it standing up from a seat in slipper/socks on laminated flooring....and was completely sober I add) I did ask if we were covered if the cruise was cancelled etc due to the virus, the agent told me that we were covered however we would only be covered if the Home Office stated that you shouldn't travel.  Whilst that is fine, Its a difficult one as we are so close to our cruise I can almost touch it but am aware it could be cancelled at a moments notice, or I could be denied entry due to a cough or cold!  Very worrying

Go to the TUI cruise page as if looking for cruises

Scroll right down the page to almost the bottom until you see a box for excursions - first on the left under heading cruise experiences

click on this and you then need to enter date of cruise, cruise ref and lead name This will take you to excursions planner where you can view, save any excursions you like or go straight through to booking them and payment.

if you leave the planner having selected excursions these will be saved until you next go in

Thank you so much Vitalsign, found it and am booking as we speak, you would think they would link the trips to the itinerary!

  3. So we have decided that we will do most of the ports on this cruise by our selves however we would rather go on a TUI excursion in Morocco however when I go to the excursion site they are generic trips and some are for evening and would not suit the cruise as will end after the ship disembarks, I can't seem to find the specific trips for the cruise am I looking in the wrong place?

Are you looking at the landing time or flight duration time , Malaga is one hour ahead of us at the moment and still will be when you fly out so landing time would be 4 hours after leaving.

Were they going to let you change just the departure flight or would it have been the whole return flight.

We had to change both the outgoing and return flights and there was no guarantee that we had leg room chairs for either flights so we have decided to just stick with the flights as booked.

  5. Hi guys, I didn't expect my question to be quite so divisive!

We contacted Tui and they said that it would be considered an amendment and they would charge us for it and couldn't actually guarantee that there would be any extra leg room seats on the new flight so we are going to just stick with the original flights and bear the discomfort......noticed the flight times tho I though it was just two/three hours to Malaga from Manchester but the flight is at six and we don't get into Malaga until ten......that is four hours by my reckoning!  As the date is 22nd March do you think this is the time difference as I believe that the clocks go forward to British summer time whilst we are away?

Many thanks to you all for your replies :classic_biggrin:

  6. Thank you for your replies Okavango and Davecttr, I think I should have given my reasons for wanting the later flight, on the flight we are booked on there were no extra leg room seats left to book and we would prefer them due to both of us having health issues however, just happy enough to be going on holiday, it was just an afterthought that the later outgoing flight may have more options available for more leg room.

Hi yes we have been on this cruise several time but never been to Leixoes so can't help with that one. Lisbon, Malaga and cadiz all ok on your own we did a nice wine trip from Cadiz to Jerez. Casablanca we have done both on your own and ships excursions, several, but to be honest on our last visit we remained onboard. If its your first time I would go with the ships trip and hope you get a good guide they may try to drop you off at the market on your return , for relatives🙄, but it's a nasty walk back through the port so be careful.

Thank you for your reply and very helpful information will be looking at doing some of the trips on our own but was always thinking of going on a Ship excursion for Morocco as we have been to European ports before but never African ones and as we are travelling with my husbands parents I don't think they would be happy unless it was an organised trip.

  8. We are booked on the Spirit of Iberia on the Dream 22/03/2020 and fly from Manchester to Malaga at 6am with a return flight at 11.30am to Manchester on the 29th.  We noticed that there was a later flight at 6.20 from Manchester but the return flight wasn't until something like 7pm getting into Manchester around 10pm.  Whilst the original return flight is great for us we were wondering if we could change the outgoing flight to the later one but keep the original return flight.  I have just rung TUI but as I am not the "lead passenger" they couldn't help me.  Just wondered if anyone else has done this before and if you did, did you get charged extra or if you did change the outgoing flight you also had to change the return flight?

    TIA :classic_biggrin:

Really happy to be sailing on the Dream again, last cruised on her Feb 2018 when we did the Canarian Flavours cruise which was wonderful.  Having already been to Gibralta before I am happy that we will have a great day there however all the other ports are new to us, has anyone else been to Malaga, Leixoes, Lisbon, Cadiz and Casablanca before, would you recommend the TUI excursions or can you do them on your own confidently?
