At least you got 11 months notice.  Our Getaway cruise in January 2022 was cancelled 8 days before departure. I will say NCL was very good about refunding everything we had payed plus giving us FCC.  It was just a nightmare dealing with the airlines and the insurance.

I think we might of been on the same one originally. We had our cruise cancelled during COVID rebooked for Jan and now this one. I just want to cruise 🤣

  2. I have read a ton of horror stories so I understand peoples reservations when using NCL for air. We are flying from CA to FL and I'm concerned about arriving on time. Will they do same day flights? Or is it the day before?

The regular balconies are small.  You get two chairs and a small side table.  The chairs have to face almost lengthways so you can't face them to the sea and fit your legs.  But they are still good places to sit.  I was in 12200 for one cruise and then, for the next cruise went for a large balcony room which did indeed have a larger balcony with the 2 chairs but this time with a table that you could eat at as well as 2 loungers.  It was on deck 9 but does jut out so the people above can see you if you stand at the rail and you can see down onto the balconies on deck 8 (which are even larger).  But if you sit at the back of the deck then you can't be seen.  These cabins are at the front of the ship.

Do you happen to remember the room number for deck 9? I am taking my mom and she is really looking forward to hanging out on the balcony so just want her as comfy as possible 🙂

Who is telling you it is not allowed? While I have not done it I read on this forum about people doing it on Carnival all the time. As I recall it is an option during check-in.

So apparently they are talking about requiring an enhanced driver's license.

  5. I am currently trying to confirm boarding ID needed. My mother doesn't have a passport we are doing a 3 day cruise out of Long Beach. I just did a small one with her on NCL with her driver's license and her birth certificate and it was fine. Now I am being told for carnival that is not allowed?

We did get her a passport but is has not as of now arrived. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Been sailing Carnival over 16 years and in slecting cabin location- our preferences have changed over years. But traveling with Senior parents so having a lido room helped with convenience.
1.) when looking at cabin location look at that same location above you, as well as below.

2.)Look at “empty squares (usually cream colored on deck maps) they are usually crew pantry, laundry, just a louder area in am especially.

3.)Avoid a room short distance from lido entrances or atrium as noise tends to travel down hall & up.

4.) also I like mid decks levels and midship (middle) location if possible.

5.)Have sailed out of Long Beach twice and another in June - any logistic  questions just ask.  Such as Long beach terminal

Thank you so much. Does the LB port have decent parking? We were gonna use hotel but would rather hop off and jet out if we can.

If you are traveling in the same stateroom, or even if in different staterooms but under a single reservation, you will be given the opportunity when completing your reservation info of specifying whether each guest is to have a separate onboard account, or if the primary passenger will be responsible for all charges by each person in the room or listed on the reservation.  Set up your account so it works best for you.

    Thank you ❤️
