the rates are through the roof IMO.  there won't be enough beds is my guess.  and with the protesting that went on in the state - well,  I think FL is in trouble.

The quarantine was never meat to eradicate CV19, it was to keep the hospitals and healthcare from getting overrun. People lose site of this. 
 

Florida definitely has an issue with long term care facilities, jails/prisons, and farm labor camps. And just like these, Cruise Ships are much the same as far as density goes.

our cases are spiking upward at an alarming rate.  (Central Florida)  - Orange County will require masks starting Saturday (why not today???) - people have lost their minds - all this week, everywhere I had to go (work, grocery store, hardware store) less than half were wearing masks.  I'm glad the employees are.  I wanted the state to reopen because of the jobs and unemployment i just don't understand why it couldn't reopen with conditions - like masks - I'm back to staying home for awhile - and reconsidering my planned December cruise on RCCL.

Tourist attractions have gone through reviews already for reopen plans.  There is a plan for cruises, we just don't know them yet.  But cruises will start soon.  August I hope, but it is not know yet. 

 

No cruise line is going to magically turn on the key, and start every cruise on the same day.  But if you are booked from Florida to the Bahamas, that will almost certainly be the first one to go.  Bahamas have a tourism start date in place, and Florida most likely will be at the Phase 3 mark sometime in July, so yes, it is a higher probability now that August might happen. 

 

However, many of the longer multiport trips, might be more complicated to start. 

Look how much has changed since this post - they have steadily increased to record numbers so I'm not confident my December cruise will happen without a vaccine or some kind of test prior to boarding (not a temperature check either) - I'm watching to see how Disney handles their opening - Universal's water park has not been good at all.  No wonder FL numbers are rising. 

I am in no hurry to leave either - breakfast first, then a stroll around the upper deck and by the time I'm ready - the lines are mostly gone.

I am trying to remember the Main Dining room menus on Mariner for the Friday to Monday cruise- I just did this in December and had the Chef's Table one night but I missed the tenderloin so I'm trying to figure out if they serve that on Saturday or Sunday - I know prime rib is Friday night.  Anyone sail and remember the MDR menu?  Thanks
