good point my other half had an iphone melt down whilst charging , it was sent back and was told the reason for this was not using Apple charger although it was
Battery technology is rapidly advancing , lithium phosphate does seem the way to go ,problems are long term testing , people want lightweight but maximum AH , do not want to pay the price tag and want them now
Indeed most scooters and batteries are manufactured in China , point being reputable dealers are using tried and tested products that have been around for years not ones sourced independently from manufacturers who are not .
There is a British mobility company selling cheap chinese mobility scooters that use untested lithium batteries , their own warehouse caught fire a few weeks ago that stored said batteries . Who knows how many of these are out in the field .
The battery pack looks more like the mobility scooter type -shape not a powerchair , it would be very odd for it to be just left in middle of walkway , these cannot just fall off
Both on package and independent , also read on cc that you can opt to carry on the ship your own luggage , they must scan cases dockside , so no need to wait for cases to arrive at cabin , I have been tempted by this but never tried this
Yes Jim we have done this a few times on different cruise lines , I think it was called independent carry off or something like that . From memory you were notified of how to leave ship on disembarking day and ticked box that this is what you were doing , only downside trying to get in lifts with your party and luggage can be manic
Thanks for the interesting read , we were docked beside this ship in Antigua earlier this year , it looked great so we booked it for this coming February starting from Barbados . The booking via App sounds like a faff though also we are booked with friends who have booked a cabin with balcony at rear of ship , is the infinity pool splashing over a problem .
Tui are proving to being an absolute shambles for any aftersales , I am still waiting for response where they mailed they would come back to me in usually 28 days , this was in February . Despite being a very good customer over the last 15 years i am now booking holidays and other cruises elsewhere
Depends where you dock DM is a big place , I have docked at Samana before which is not the best , however second visit there in Samana we took a boat ride over to Bacardi Island which was stunning .
A few year ago on canary sail away 2 elderly men starting fighting over one pinching the others drink ! it was all inclusive , after breaking up the scrap I said to one that this was going to be the last TUI cruise . Not any more always something entertaining going on
Yes Cliff we were docked beside it in Antigua it looked fabulous compared to discovery , We booked on to go next February and it was £1000 cheaper and flying with Tui from our local airport direct to Barbados
