I enjoyed your review. So much detail and some great tips. I'll be on the Beyond in April. I've booked a ship excursion for Cartagena. I'm travelling solo and after reading other reviews where people didn't feel safe in Cartagena, I thought the best option for me would be to stay in a group. Is it much hotter in Cartagena than other Carribean ports? I've read a lot of comments from people saying the heat in Cartagena is unbearable
The weather in Cartagena is very similar to Ft. Lauderdale. Windy and humid.
Other than aggressive "vendors" inside the Walled City feels safe. Just don't eat dinner outside or they will bother you while you eat.

If there is no locker room where do you put your belongings if you buy a spa day pass?

It’s a scorcher out there today! Back at the hotel now and packing the last of my stuff before heading down to the lobby. Planning on ordering the Uber around noon. Hopefully by the time it gets to me, gets to the port, and I drop my case it will be pretty close to my designated arrival time!
I live in Miami.
The Feels Like temperature is like this 10 months out of the year.
Looking forward to lots of photos and reviews of your cruise as I’ve never cruised VV. So far it’s only been photos of my back yard!
Enjoy the trip.

I really enjoyed this thread. Thanks for sharing all of this.
My girlfriend and I are arriving at Terminal 18 @ 12:30 PM tomorrow to board Symphony.

For the Symphony sailing this Sunday it’s the complete opposite of a Black Friday deal:
The price of the Deluxe Beverage package went up from $72.99 (yesterday’s price) to $98.00 per day (today’s price).

Thank you! We did not book any specialty dining... I will need to see if that drink is available anywhere else. Sounds interesting. 🙂
They serve it at the Wonderland bar as well and you don’t need reservations for the bar I believe. Keep in mind, I had this cocktail almost 4 years ago so I’m not 100% sure they still serve it.

Interested to hear about your cruise. We are boarding Symphony on Nov 26th. We got a 3 night dining package.
I really enjoyed Wonderland when I cruised on Symphony in March of 2020. They have a drink called Smoke Rings (I think that’s what it was called). It was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.
Enjoy your week!

I pre-paid my gratuities for our Symphony of the Seas sailing on November 26th. Ended up saving about $28 by doing that before the rate goes up.
I’ll throw some cash tips around on the ship based on service and frequency.

It was very popular last week. I wish I liked bourbon. Some very unique cocktails in there.
Smoke Rings is a very tasty cocktail! I had two.

I've also seen multiple posts about getting them at Boleros on the first day... I guess to alleviate some of the day one crowds at Guest services.
When I sailed Symphony in March of 2020 we got our Wow bands at Boleros. Granted that was 3 years ago.
I'm happy to hear the Wow bands are back. It made getting in the room and using our Drink Package so much easier.

Is the Unlimited Dining Plan the same price for every 7 night cruise and if yes, what is the price per person?

You may want to check the roll call for your sailing.

Sorry for starting another thread. I didn't know about the one in your link. Thanks!

I'm definitely interested in reading the notes of this meeting on Saturday.

Sorry that this virus is causing so much stress to a lot of people.

Who's headed down to the Eastern Caribbean with me? Woooo hooooo . This is my first cruise so apologies for making a separate thread for this. It's been a little doomy and gloomy (understandably so for those that are sailing soon) so I thought it would be nice to have a more upbeat thread.
Half of my co-workers think I'm completely out of my mind to go on a cruise. I assured them that I'm only partially out of my mind 🙂
I'm pumped. Have my Set Sail Passes all ready to go for my wife and sons, however, I don't think we'll zip through the line because my youngest doesn't have a passport (only original birth certificate).
We got a 3-night Specialty Dining package (going to Chops, Wonderland and Jamie's Italian. My wife and I splurged for the Deluxe Beverage Package. My oldest son is almost as tall as me so we got an Ocean Balcony room and an Interior room for the kids.
We got the kids tickets for Dolphin Push, Pull and Swim in St. Kitts. We'll hang out and watch them. All four of us are doing the Buck Island Sail and Snorkel in St. Thomas.
So check in if you're on SOTS this weekend!

I can’t understand how they are separating passengers who have traveled in or through the banned countries from the rest of the overall people checking in at the port?

Sad to see all of the freaking out going on about this. Especially because no one will be talking about this in 6 months.
*because we'll all be dead from it
I kid, I kid.

Dumb question (going on my first RC cruise in a few days). Is Playmakers included in the cost or is it specialty dining? Thanks!
My kids love wings

We cruise in May and wonder if I should cancel with this virus spreading, anyone else thinking the same thing?
I'm sailing out of Miami in 4 days on Symphony. I'm looking forward to a week of not watching the news and all of their non stop panic programming.

I stopped watching the news and I encouraged family to do the same

Ok. You're an alarmist.

My only current concern is not the virus itself, it's the FULL PANIC surrounding the virus.
I'm sailing this Saturday out of Miami on Symphony. Is it safe to assume that the only scenarios where RC gives a full refund for a cruise is when they themselves cancel a cruise?

Review: Beyond December, 2023 Sailing
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Was seriously considering booking Beyond but this whole creaking noise thing has got me real uncomfortable. I'm a light sleeper.
Symphony of The Seas on RC creaked in early March of 2020 but only when the seas were like 16-20 feet for a 24 hour period.
Are there any reports of loud noises on the other new Celebrity ships?
