Oasis was in Miami yesterday too, but today it's en route to coco cay so I had thought it was just a supply run.

From 21st to 27th, six days apart seems to be very credible.
The first sailing on the Jewel isn't until 3-18-2021. If they were doing a crew quarantine ahead of time, I could understand having the crew aboard the ship for ~30 days prior to the first sail date, but that would mean that all of these dates are a month behind the actual sail date, and wouldn't reflect the restart dates for consumers.
The first sailings on Insignia after the 're-launch' date are all to/from Canada until November 10th. Canada isn't allowing ships until after October 31st, so that crew would be sitting on a ship for nearly 7 weeks until it sails from Miami.
While I haven't looked into all of them, quite a few of these sailings follow the same inconsistencies, so I just don't think it's a credible source.

There is a thread on either the X or Royal board quoting a Port Authority official as saying during recent news conference that there will be no passenger ships sailing from NY / NJ for remainder of year. No official word on PANYNJ web site though.
No one has been able to provide a video of the press conference. It might not be official, but I can't even verify the press conference ever happened.

There aren't any facts about this yet, so all the responses are going to be speculation. Sorry.

Norwegian recently announced that the Jewel was cancelled until Feb 27th, so this document is already inaccurate.

I've looked everywhere for a video of the press conference that was referenced in the original post over on the RC board. I can't find it. No one else seems to be able to either, so I'd take that information with a grain of salt. However, as others have stated.. the metropolitan opera closing for the fall season is pretty indicative of the situation there.

Can someone link the press conference? I can't find it.

I just booked a cruise using FCC and while the payments weren’t initially applied correctly, meaning I had $942 FCC leftover and a $750 balance on my cruise, I was able to call in today and have it corrected so they applied the remaining $942 to the balance. This was for a room with me, my husband and my 12 year old son where they gave us all different FCC amounts. I was on the phone for about 2 hours today but they did work with me so I can’t complain too much. Though, this was just for 1 stateroom, at least I can confirm they’re still working with customers on this issue.

Look up the definition of your fancy words first. I don't find anything funny about others misfortune. But their reluctance to accept reality, yeah a little bit.
Are you even reading your own argument here? You're admitting to taking pleasure in someone's misfortune but trying to label it as something different. If you want to get technical and say you're laughing at their delusion, you're still laughing at someone else's failure/misfortune because being delusional is still an unfortunate state of being.
Try taking pleasure in your own accomplishments instead of worrying about how 'delusional' other people may or may not be. It's really none of your business anyway.

and I can't imagine why either one of those would bring you joy. Schadenfreude isn't something to be proud of.

Seriously??? The number of people posting here who think their May-June cruises might happen is just too funny.
Yeah, it's hilarious when people hold out hope for things they were really looking forward to.

I am trying to book a cruise and NONE of my credit cards are working. Yet they are all working everywhere else. Can't get through to a representative. Oh well!!
That happened to me too. Turns out, there was a maximum daily limit on my card and I had to separate my payments over multiple days in order for it to go through. The representative I talked to said that it's pretty common. Have you tried a smaller amount?

Hello everyone! My family and I are planning on taking a cruise on Oasis of the Seas this May and I'm wondering what kind of activities are available for 12 year olds. The information I've found on the RCI website/cruise critic/RCBlog is conflicting and says 12 year olds will be grouped with Adventure Ocean as well as the Teen Club, and we're a little confused as to which one my son should be participating in. As an example, Adventure Ocean is listed for kids from 6-12 years old, but the cruise compasses I've checked from the past few months group the 12 year olds with the teens(Teen Basketball ages 12-17). My son is in middle school and is resistant to being grouped up with 6 year olds. Does anyone have any insight on what we should expect?

And ~38% of Americans in a poll said they wouldn't drink Corona beer for fear of infection, soooo.................. 🙂
It’s actually 38% of beer drinking Americans that wouldn’t drink corona beer under any circumstances based on a sample size of 737 people.- 3

Your FCC may still be accessible, even if you haven't received an email about it. I never got an email confirming it was available to use, but was able to rebook using the FCC based on my cancelled booking number. Try to book something and see if they can find your FCC. I've found that contacting customer service through the new sailings option gets me to a rep faster than the post cruise option, and if you're looking to book, they should be able to check if the FCC is available for you.
