I am trying to clarify an issue and I am hoping one of you can help.

If you booked your own air to Miami, did Regent still pick you up and transport you from the airport to the hotel.

I have gotten 3 different answers from regent and our travel agent. We are on the 2019 World Cruise.

Some say yes....some say no

Can anyone help???

Has anyone heard who the cruise director and lecturers will be for the 2019 World Cruise?

We were in 623 and were very happy with it -- would definitely book again. Great convenient location. And quiet.

2018 World Cruisers,

When it came time to pick your shore excursions, did you pick all 131 days worth??? or just a few weeks at a time?

Our time is coming to pick ours for 2019 and it all seems so overwhelming!

We come in on the same day as the Gala and free overnight hotel.

Does that make a difference in transport?

I know some amenities for a world cruise are different.

Does anyone know if Regent will include transfers to the hotel from the airport if you are doing your own air to LA.

Called Regent and got 2 different answers.

How is the entertainment on board?

LAX is definitely the closest airport, about 12 miles.

 

For car service, we always use Execucar. They are a sister company of Supershuttle, but it is a private transfer.

 

Alternatively, you could use Uber/Lyft, but that depends on how much luggage you have.

Isn't net years World Cruise on the Mariner or it is 2020? Obviously the Mariner will handle the seas much better than the Navigator.

Next years world cruise is on Navigator.

I am so glad that you are posting on the World Cruise, since it will be our turn on the Navigator World next year.

I hope the seas smooth out, and will be following your trip !

I have a car tour booked with a local Cuba company in November.

We're currently in a penthouse suite 1108 on the Navigator from San Francisco to Montreal. Some good, some bad on this ship. Staff are wonderful as are the meals, drinks etc. shore excursions thrown in are a bonus but choose carefully. We were told on board the first day that we wouldn't be going to Catalina Island with no reason given with Ensenada as the replacement. A big disappointment as we were looking forward to that. The worst part about this ship is the vibration. In 15 cruises I have never come across this before. They don't care and just say that's the way this ship is. Don't pay extra for a penthouse suite unless you truly want a butler. Other cabins are the same size with most of the same amenities. Certainly don't book cabins on decks 10 and 11 as these get the most movement and vibration. Middle of the ship on deck 8 would probably be a good place. We found out from many kiwis on this cruise that there are huge specials which include air fares and pre and post accommodation so look for those. Apart from the above the standard of service is superb. If you have any questions just let me know.
