Found out there was actually only one case onboard, at the start of the cruise. They quarantined the individual for 5 days onboard the ship and they’ve already been released from quarantine. We didn’t get any information on whether the individual was actually sick

Don’t disagree with you at all jtwind.  Just wanted to inform people that even though our cruise began March 28, Viking was planning to suspend mandatory mask use as of April 1st for us too. Now that’s not happening. 

 We are currently onboard the Viking Sky.  The announcement regarding mask use continuing until the end of our cruise was prefaced by the cruise director stating that they were planning to end mask use on our cruise on April 1st, but unfortunately, it is now going to be required till the end of our cruise.  According to crew members in the know, this is probably due to the fact that we’ve had 2 confirmed cases onboard being diagnosed earlier in the cruise.

We are currently travelling independently in Venice prior to boarding our Mediterranean Odyssey cruise aboard the Viking Sky on March 28. We were instructed by Viking to go to the Stazione Marittima to board the Viking bus to take us to Fusina where the ship is docked.  Can anyone whose already done this give us any information as to where to find the Viking buses at Stazione Marittima, as it’s a very big place. Do we have to take the people mover to get to the right area where the Viking buses will be loading passengers?

We are in a DV cabin on an upcoming Mediterranean Odyssey cruise and have purchased the Silver Spirits Beverage package.  Does anyone know if this entitles us to have our mini-bar stocked with liquor if we request them to?

Our group of 8 requested a refund from Viking on March 14th for our March 20th Mediterranean Odyssey cruise that was cancelled.  We were told it would take 21 business days (or approximately 30 days in total) for our refund to appear on our credit cards.  Happily, our credit cards were credited back the full amount 23 business days later (or 32 days in total), with the total amount being credited back in three separate amounts (which added up to the total amount we were owed).
