  1. My cruise on Viking Star  to the Viking Homelands was cancelled by Viking in April 2020 . I had paid $3000.00 as deposit for 2 persons and they offered FCCC s valid for 2 years.  I am trying to get this transferred to a new booking for August 2021 going on the same itinerary. Same suite and same time. They have  requested a further $1000.00($500.00 each) as a deposit and the FCC will be applied to the cruise fare . As Viking will have held my deposit money for 18 months already I am reluctant to give them any more at this time Has anyone any experience of this “double-dipping “ practice?

  2. Our cruise to the Seychelles was cancelled by Ponant in March. We asked for a refund but only offered a FCC.Have tried all other routes ACCC , our insurance company have refused even tho we took out insurance when we booked the cruise in Feb 2019 way before Covid 19. Has anyone had full refund of their cruise money from Ponant ?  Time to honour your  T& Cs Ponant

  3. Thanks luxurylizard. You are certainly at the front of this horrendous fiasco . Stay safe and travel safely Here in Aus all arrivals including citizens have to self isolate for 14 days All cruise ships have been banned for 30 days which could be extended . 2 cases have been confirmed in the Seychelles They arrived back from Italy . Keep up dating when you have info particularly from Ponant Time for them to step up tp their responsibilities

  4. Thank you Zeddog and samiam1 . You have given hope to all or us out there with so much to lose as well as putting the local people of the Seychelles at risk .It is time for Ponant to act responsibly as have the other cruise lines  and tell their passengers .

Currently booked to go on Le Bougainville in the Seychelles on March 29 2020. Australian government has advised not to travel.  The Seychelles has closed its waters to ALL cruise ships as of 12 March . Ponant refuse to accept Le Bougainville is a cruise ship and say it is an Expedition Ship and will be leaving as scheduled  No communication from Ponant at all Bitterly disappointed in Ponant particularly as they seem to be looking after new bookings  Our cruise has been booked for 14 months and they have had a very large chunk of our money for a large part of that time Come on Ponant it is time to look after your loyal clients  now or when the cruise market returns as it surely will in the future your ships will be empty and floundering at sea  as they deserve
