Our balcony cabin on Anthem out of New Jersey in December had kettles to heat water.  Our friends all had kettles in their regular balcony cabins as well. 

I would recommend layering clothing.   I bought a fleece lined jacket on our first alaska trip and it was too warm for me.  I found i like a water proof windbreaker with layers works best for me.  I take a day pack to carry the layers I shed throughout the day.   I also take a ball cap it comes in handy in the rain.

We are very used to the cold weather and found jeans to be just fine.

Following we board anthem on December 12th.  Thank you for posting. 

We don't really care for the room service coffee.  We bring coffee via individual packets and order hot water (tea) from room service and make our own coffee to our taste.  The coffee via packets are very small and pack easily.  😀

Alot has happened since my original question about getting the vaccine after having covid in December.   My 80 year old mother also had covid in December and did very well. She went in for her 2nd covid vaccine 9 days ago.  4 days after the shot she was in the critical care until for 2 days she was home for one day and was back in the critical care unit and is still in the hospital.   She is on oxygen and cannot care for herself at this point.  Before the shot she was independent and lived alone and pretty much was able to do anything she wanted.  We cannot get an answer if this was a direct result of the vaccine because they don't know enough about this virus and the vaccine and if they tell you they do they are lying.   We are praying my mom recovers enough to come home at some point.  I will not be getting the vaccine for several months if at all.

I have had it as well.  Just wondering if I need the vaccine.  We were quarantined over Christmas.

We are on the December 7th cruise on the Anthem and are keeping our fingers crossed.
