  1. Yes the new Royal Caribbean cruise terminal has been placed on hold for one year.  So as of right now the "scheduled" completion is for Sept 2022.  Since that will delay AllureOTS arrival (as the current terminal cannot hold an Oasis class ship), Galveston asked Royal Caribbean if a Quantum class ship (specifically AnthemOTS) could fit at the current terminal and there has been no mention of a response to that request.

In response to the OP, we have been on LibertyOTS several times and LOVE that ship.  As mentioned before it is not too big and not too small.  Also mentioned before we like to stay towards the front elevators as the back elevators tend to get fill quite often!

    Hope this helps!

  2. Our fist cruise was on NavigatorOTS (before she got amped).  Our next two cruises were on LibertyOTS.  We LOVE Liberty and will be sad when she leave Galveston.  Oct/Nov 2021 was when Liberty moved to Miami and Allure was set to come to Galveston.  However, the new terminal has been delayed for a year so we are not sure what that will do for Liberty and Allure. Allure cannot fit at the current terminal, therefore we know Allure (or any Oasis Class Ship) will come to Galveston until the new terminal is built.

  3. Been out of Galveston three times now with two of those on Liberty.  First one was on NavigatorOTS (before she got amped).  We LOVE LibertyOTS and will be sad when she leaves.  Liberty is perfect, not too big, and not too small.  The shows do fill up pretty quick, but if you are in a suite, there is reserved seating for shows.  As stated above I'm not going to restate what the perks are.

We usually go down the Friday before we set sail on Sunday.  We cruise in the summer and hotels in Galveston can get expensive so we stay in the Webster area (about a 25-30 drive to port).  You have NASA Space Center (if you go bring your walking shoes!!), Kemah Boardwalk, and other activities in that area.  On Saturday, go wonder around Galveston as there is a ton of stuff to do.  It is just a matter of researching to see what you and your family would like to do.  Murdochs (at 23rd and Seawall Blvd) is an awesome historical shop built over the water.  It keeps getting hit by hurricanes and they keep rebuilding it.  Pleasure Pier is at 25th and Seawall Blvd which is pretty cool.  I know this wasn't much, but I hope it helps you out!
