  1. DEXDDD  Please look at getting your credit card company involved when PGC won't refund your money. Many folks who did , got full refund, and Ponant will wonder  why credit cards won't do business with them. I contacted my credit card company and they said if Ponant didn't refund my money, they would. However, My TA filed suit against Ponant (we were a charter)and Ponant quickly agreed as 330 cabins were going to file with their CCC all at once.   Good luck..   Early on this thread you see where others did...

I have just received the same email from PGC. I wait with bated breath . Meanwhile I'll continue with the credit card claim.

The TA for our Charter Cruise with PGC had to hire two lawyers and file suit against PGC. PGC came to their senses and settled quickly. Our TA asked that we (all in the charter) give them a little time, before we went with the credit card route. We'll get 100%aren't  back this week.  If you have to wait 6 months , call your credit card. PGC can't be trusted saying they'll refund you in 6 months.

  3. Our  cruise with PGC was settled (well almost) as the TA filed suit in 2 courts with Ponant. We are to get 100% refund of our hard earned cash.

It a shame that the worlds best cruise line was reduced to most unethical cruise line in the world. I hope the old owners buy it back and re-instate a ethical policy concerning cancellation.

File a third party default claim with your credit card.

If our TA can't get the refund for our cruise I plan first to contact my credit card company and if that doesn't happen I will file a lawsuit that will cost them a lot more than my fare. Lots of hungry lawyers today. And also social media will light up with the facts.

They still have an office in the States I assume.  And Ponant uses U.S. ports, even if the PG doesn't.

Ponant has 18cruises + Alaskan cruise and 26+ North American (Mostly US) scheduled. So they have a US presence for sure. Ponant owns PG now. Thanks for the info .

  6. We paid for a PG charter cruise along with a fully booked cruise due to sail May 20th, 2020. With Bali restricting travel, all other ports not allowing entry,  PONANT refuses to even cancel the cruise, or even talk with the travel agency. We've been on this wonderful ship before and truly felt as a VIP. Now PONANT has made us feel just the opposite. Ponant has made a number one cruise ship among the lowest rated ships of all time.     I'll book on the SS Minnow next time instead...
