Has anyone booked excursions with an independent excursion company? What was your experience? Are there any you would recommend or avoid? I’ve always booked with the cruise line but it seems like these independent companies offer greater variety and value. 

I've always cruised midship with cabins below and above me.  I just booked a cruise on NCL Jade and my cabin is forward directly underneath the treatment rooms of the spa.  My thoughts were to be closer to the spa (I love the thermal suites) and try a different location on the ship.  Here's the question....will this cabin be noisy in the evening under the spa? I am a morning person - in bed at 10:00 and wide awake by 6:30 at the latest.  Also, is there any downside to this location I might not be considering?  Thanks in advance for any insight on this!
