  1. I live south of Seattle and have only cruised from there once, but have flown out of Seatac many times. Rule of thumb for Seatac is to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight. TSA Precheck, Clear, or other services are absolutely worth paying for, especially with multiple people in your party. Security at Seatac is always long and it's a big airport, so you'll want plenty of time to ride the trams/walk to your gate. If you book an Uber or taxi, it can easily be $75 or more since the airport is about half an hour south of the cruise terminal. Debark asap, hop into a vehicle, and you ought to be fine!

I spoke with an agent to get info about the included airfare and told him I wanted a two day deviation but hadn't completed the reservation...after three days I hadn't heard from them I called them and found out it was 74 days so they couldn't change them. I wish the agent had been clear about the deadline!

Anyway, has anyone mentioned calling the airline personally and paying any fees to get the reservation changed? I'm really nervous about flying in the same day the cruise leaves, and also would love to see some of Seattle...

I think if you change with the airline that should be fine, since it's all in your name and NCL is just handling the booking initially?

Where does it display on the NCL site that there is a flight deviation?  We are cruising out of Southampton on 8/8/2023.  TY

Mine doesn't show on the site yet except to say something like AIRDEV-SOU with no further info for that port. My confirmation email PDF shows more details.

  4. I really appreciate all of the helpful comments! I called and got everything straightened out, and I now have a confirmation pdf with our air deviation listed on both sides. We got, I think, $275 back for airport transfers and $50 back for the deviation. I'm glad I checked with you all!

  5. Hello, we have a cruise out of Lisbon on July 31-Aug 8 on the Getaway, and we accepted the deal that comes with "free" second passenger air.

When do the booking information emails usually show up? I know it's still three months away, but I'm quite anxious about times from airport to terminal, etc, and of course we would prefer at least a day of leeway on either side. Especially with flying internationally!

Our cruise is fully paid for (and upgrade bids placed!), since I'm sure that is a factor.

    Thank you!

  6. Update: I called the customer care line and updated the reservations with our middle names since they are on our passports. None of the agents I spoke to (3, since I was also trying to upgrade Vibe to a cabana but they're sold out) could tell me if the middle name was required, but better safe than sorry.

  7. This question makes me feel like it must be obvious, but the wait for customer service was super long and I know my CC folks know everything!

We have cruised NCL before, but haven’t booked NCL air until this trip . They sent an email asking us to double check “full legal names” and showed our first and last. Do they need us to call and add our middle names, or is this fine? I believe our passports have our full middle names.

    Thank you in advance!

  8. I enjoy the buffet on embarkation day, because everyone is in a GREAT mood (starting vacation!) and most people are having a blast already. O'Sheehan's is another really good option, on Breakaway particularly, since it has larger tables kind of "around the corner" from the part facing the atrium. We consistently had quick, pleasant service with hot (unlike MDR, lol) food!

  9. Well, I was on the June 18th sailing and I tested positive for Covid this morning after starting to see symptoms yesterday. We are both vaccinated and boosted, so the effects aren’t as bad as they could be, but this is still not fun. Does anyone know if there’s a place on Princess I need to report this? I’m thinking that if nothing else, they may want to notify the room steward or something.

  10. Potato soup at O’Sheehan’s! It was a super simple soup, but made perfectly. Velvety (honestly, all NCL creamy soups are great in texture), flavorful, beautifully seasoned. I’m a sucker for potatoes in general, but this was something special. No bacon, cheese, chives or anything- just a simple, fantastic soup.

I almost forgot about my favorite dessert, so I had to edit it in: the chocolate salted caramel tart in the Manhattan Room was so good that I was drooling as I ate it. Flaky pastry crust, smooth chocolate custard, and rich salted caramel. Gosh, it was good.

  11. I disembarked from Breakaway today, and my husband and I were some of the few people who wore masks fairly consistently. We always wore them while getting food from the buffet and on the elevators/other crowded areas (which were rare at less than 50% capacity), but most didn’t bother. We were told that masks were encouraged but optional when we boarded, since everyone had a negative test before boarding and had to be vaccinated to travel. All employees were masked at all times. Almost everyone had a mask with them just in case, and masks were required at all ports.
