  1. I feel so very sorry for my fellow passengers on here. Feel sorry for Cunard and QM2 they have been my favorite cruise line for years and I travelled many times with them as I'm a Diamond member.

My wife and I were scheduled on this New York to Caribbean trip and then we were going on from New York to Hamburg on January 3rd.

As I sat in the hotel in New York, watching the news on the spread of this Omnicron I told my wife I don't want to go down to the Caribbean I just don't feel good about this trip.

We decided to drive home and thought we might come back to New York and take the January 3rd portion to Hamburg, but now I see they have cancelled it.

Feel so bad for everyone and for Cunard. I have a pretty bad phobia of flying so I always take the ships to travel. I don't know what I would have done being down in Barbados right now and my only two choices are to fly to New York or England.

Will definitely keep reading this thread and my prayers and thoughts are with all involved in this situation.

  2. Deck 6 is not so bad. Maybe a slight blessing actually as you can go up one flight of stairs and be at the food. Now with Covid, restrictions on how many can be on an elevator.. you only have one floor of stairs to walk up to deck 7.

I'm on deck four inside cabin (Jan 3rd Ny-Hamburg) and they have my cabin right in front of the theater. I'm sure we will get noise there unless they upgrade us.

  3. Haven't been that route but have taken plenty of transatlantic cruises in September and later in the year. I'm scheduled to go transatlantic in January, which is probably the roughest time.

I have been on voyages in September, that were rough and calm its kind of a gamble with the sea. Best advice I can give is stay in the center of the ship if bothered by a lot of motion, and avoid greasy foods during rough sea days.

When I first started cruising I would get nervous on bad sea days,  now I actually look forward to it as an adventure and part of being out on the open ocean. Can sleep like a baby when the ship is rocking back and forth.

  4. I received one in my email. First question average salary I put between 50k-70k and it kicked me out.

So, I tried it again since it was sent to my parents email as well. First question what is your average salary well its well over 500k ok cool on to the next stage 😀

Would I ever consider visiting a Disney Park (Well since I make 500k a year I guess I could put down my Forbes magazine long enough to go see Mickey. Then it asked if I would ever consider going on a number of different cruise lines I said yes all within the next 12 months. Then I got kicked out.. I guess I needed to say I was actually booked on a cruise within the next year to make it to the following stage.
