My NCL canceled port for Nicaragua excursion for a 1/21/22 Bliss cruise was finally (took forever) credited to my credit card. It showed as a negative balance for a month and then poof was gone and 2 weeks later we got the cc refund.

Well this is odd. This morning my HC-Aft Haven upgrade now shows "Unable to Upgrade" but my offer for an H5-2 BR Haven Lrg Balcony is "Processing".
Has anyone had this happen before?
This literally just happened to me too, for the Bliss Jan 21st sailing. Was confident I got the Spa Balcony (said processing) and then it said Unable to Upgrade and now all are back to pending.

I don't know your itinerary times, but will you have a "negative PCR test no more than 72 hours" before Cartagena?
I know the RCI Jewel of the Seas was turned away from there recently - there are some different rumors as to why, but this onboard tweet matches the US Embassy info "Captain announced #cruise ship not be allowed to port in Cartagena; port authorities require PCR test for guests 72 hours before docking. Going to next port Aruba".
US Embassy info:
- As of December 28, 2021, all international travelers aged 18 years and over, regardless of whether they have Colombian nationality, who intend to enter Colombia from a cruise ship, must present the result of the PCR test with a negative result, issued in advance no more than 72 hours before boarding.

Have a wonderful cruise and hope you make it to all ports! 😁
Thank you for this. It’s the last port of the cruise, day 12 of 14, so we would have to test on board and I’m sure that is not going to happen.

Anyone have any specifics on what Columbia is requiring now for docking in Cartegena in regards to COVID? On a Panama Canal cruise in 2 weeks fingers crossed. Hearing rumblings of testing required to come ashore so highly likely NCL will just cancel the port stop.

For the Indian buffet, does anyone remember is they had Tikka Masala? That's my absolute favorite on land so if they do I will for sure be looking for it
Yes, and Channa Masala, Butter chicken, pakora, dal, goat, you name it!

Did the Encore this September and the filet/shrimp combo at the Teppanyaki was amazing. Giant shrimp and very tender filet. Can’t wait to compare to the Bliss in January! Ditto on the Indian food noted above at GC ☺️

I enjoyed the upgraded venue and offerings of Onda on Encore this September, waaaaay better than La Cucina. I would recommend not eating in the Main Dining rooms for dinner (Manhattan, Taste & Savor) if you want to avoid feeling disappointed. Do the speciality dining and/or the Teppanyaki instead. TBH, you can also curate a nice plate for yourself from the the buffet, especially if you like Indian/South Asian food. Sounds counterintuitive to enjoy the buffet over plated meals but it can work out better if you want to sample items. Haven dining would also be worth the upgrade for the enhanced menu on the private restaurant.

I know you are an expert on here and know a lot of the ins and outs, but this response did not come across well.
