We cruise entirely for itineraries while also taking into account prices. The absolute FUN part of the "sport" is seeing what happens over time, as you "use" sales to improve your situation...
So for our recent 11/9-19/2023 cruise on Riviera:
1. I STARTED out in a C (7080) for $1994 PP. Booked 5 Apr 22. When they opened.
2. Then moved to a B4 (7107) for $2249 PP using a Memorial Day Sale. Booked 25 May 22.
3. Then moved to a B3 (7036) for $1749 PP using the Extraordinary Savings Sale. Booked 12 Apr 23.
And the ESS got us $300 OBC each.
So here we paid $250 LESS for a better cabin using sales.
How do you find out about the sales?
-
Of course not. I’m giving another reason to pay for Concierge level.

If verandas are sold out, I book concierge. The cabins are same size. Concierge has some perks that may or may not interest you.
We booked a cabin on the same floor as the Concierge room and my husband would walk down the hall to get us coffee. I need coffee before I can start getting ready for the day!

Has anyone done this? If so, advice?
thanks

Thanks. And how do I find this?

Has anyone done this independently by taking the train rather than an organized tour?

Thank you!

Are there wine glasses in the room to use if drinking your own wine? Are there bottle openers?

Thanks for info. It would be lovely to dock right in Bordeaux.
I am on the June 13th sailing too! I was previously scheduled for a similar itinerary and had to cancel. For that cruise, the Bordeaux port was actually Le Verdon which is not convenient at all. -

I was on a similar cruise at the same time and it was on Marina. We overnighted at Bordeaux.
A similar Marina cruise last year was docked in Bordeaux in what passengers called the boon docks!

We were there in 2019 overnight, and stayed in the heart of the city. Wonderful location for exploring on foot. Beautiful city!
Were you on Marina or one of the smaller Oceania ships?

I’ve heard it’s in the boondocks and you have to take O’s excursions. No shuttle to center city. Is this true?

How casual or dressy is White Night? White jeans or white slacks?
Don’t stress about it. Wear something white. My husband wore a white shirt with khaki pants. I wore white jeans and a blue/white striped top.

Thinking about our past O cruises I remember we would buy a bottle of wine at dinner usually. Is it possible to see a wine list for bottles onboard? Thanks.
Interested in this as well. I haven’t cruised Oceania since 2019, but we bought bottles of wine that we could summon from whatever restaurant we were in. Can we still do this?

What is the consensus on using Oceania’s air fare from Europe to the US? I would be flying in and out of JFK.
Thanks in advance. -

I don’t know the pricing for the T-pool (but there are 2 jacuzzi pools on the pool deck too) but I’m sure someone else will.
On longer cruises there is often a laundry sale - on our last cruise it was $40 for a bag, and it comes back nicely folded, and pressed where appropriate (shirts etc). You can get a lot in a bag - there’s an art to stuffing it in!
As already said, the self-service laundry is free, including detergent.

Do they offer unscented detergent?

Marina Lisbon to Amsterdam-where will the ship dock for Bordeaux?
in Oceania Cruises

I think an ocean cruise would be fine if it overnights in Bordeaux. You could take a an all day wine tour each day going to two different wine regions. Trust me-that’s a lot of wine.
