  1. I do believe the junior suite J4 is for 2 people and has a 1 and a half bathrooms with a separate shower and soaking tub. The J3 JS doesn't have a walk in closet nor a half bath. It does have a shower/tub combo and can hold 4 people.  Now I could be wrong as it seems to differ across Quantum class.  Proving cabin layout is not Royals strong suit.

Suggest you double check your categories or search Utube for any cabin you select.

Going green, what they mean is they are cutting expenses, keeping more of the green we give them  I cruise to escape the online nonsense, if there are no cruise compases in print on my next cruise, somebody gonna get an earful.

Guest relations have a scaled back printed version. If your in a suite they will provide in cabin if you ask.  We prefer paper also.

  3. Have Hideaway Beach and Beach club both booked, will see how the reviews go to and cancel one.  Definitely don’t want the Vegas blasting music, Oasis pool can be bad enough late afternoon if anywhere near the bar.  I get lot of folks like that and I did back in my younger days 🤣.  Now I rather  prefer a quieter time and more like  the Original Coco Cay before  it became a mini theme park.

I do worry about the crowds. If your the 2nd ship arriving it’s hard to get a nice spot to chill, can only imaging if your the 3rd.

Au contraire, you will get another 5 free vouchers on departure day.  DW and I always go to the MDR for breakfast and get Bailey's in our coffee and multiple mimosas.  Wait staff have no issues running for drinks.

Right now we are trying to confirm on our next B2B that you will get another 5 vouchers when you check into the next cruise.  I am assuming yes as it will be a new folio.

No physical vouchers.  Beverage credits are loaded on your sea pass.

Thank you this topic seem so challenging to sort. One would think Royal would just step up and provide clear info for those of us considering a cruise out or Ravenna.  Factoring in Int’l flights is also challenging. Venice was so much easier.  We did it several a times.

  6. 30% of per guest is usually the best option as opposed to the 50% of one guest.  However just be sure to calculate the actual rate per day pre gratuity as the initial rate pre discounts can move.   Then you have a discounted daily rate to monitor.  Its generally a good deal book it as you can as you can always cancel and re book.

Inflatuon has for sure kicked in….

    Good luck…

On the ship, either will work. While on land, Euros are preferred. We just got back from a 10 day Med cruise, I was SHOCKED that no one wanted USD! A few shops in Greece took our dollars, but in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, and Italy, ALL wanted Euros! We were  there in May of THIS year, so trust me on this!

EDIT: We took a boatload, no pun intended, of smaller USD bills and $2 bills, we came back with a bunch! 😉

Yes it’s Europe - They have different currencies and  just like in the USA we don’t accept other currencies, not sure why would you think they would.  Glad you had fun though. . Cruising in Europe is awesome.

RCCL D+ benefits still show access to the Concierge Lounge as a benefit.  Before COVID, the lounge on Anthem was unceremoniously closed to D+.   Is that still the case?  I ask because the lounge is fabulous, looking out on the entire aft area of the ship.

    Thanks!

Boarding tomorrow and can let you know. We are D+ also, now we were fortunate to be upgraded to a GS so will have access either way but will check.

Diamond Plus here and have let’s say 500 OBC which is close to what we have. Just a toss up with this. If we can get buy with 5 each and then pay we would be fine. Wife likes  to shop onboard. So their is that. We are on 6 day odyssey so was thinking just go with pay as you go and using 5 Vouchers. We have all inclusive for Costa Maya. And bar Hop in Cozumel. Was thinking of  buying drink Package for Cozumel Day ( waste except evening)  then sea day and Coco Cay which would be 3 days left and apply30%. I think we will be fine but we also get the bottled water, fresh OJ and Coffee on Package but would not without package. So confusing.  I guess that what the bean counters count on.

P.S My Plan would be Blue Moon or Other Beer durning Day and  5 Martini Vouchers at Night. HELP! Lol

Same situation here D+   We purchased package in Oct, then got upgraded, had access to suite lounge etc, so ended up being a bit of a waste and it was too late to cancel package. Have opted to just pay the extra for our Upcoming cruise and skip the package.  We also get 4 bottles of wine and plan to bring 2 more upscale ones.  Think we will be fine.

    Good luck…

Wherever you’re eating on night 1, you’re not expected to be dressed up as they know many have not received their luggage yet.

Some folks have a long day, traveling etc, so it’s  nice to freshen up, change.   Others like to change ..day wear  vs evening. 😀
