Any card will do. Old library card etc. We hang ours , next to the light switch. We use an old shoe lace, punch a hole in the card, and use a magnet, to keep it on the wall.

If Americans open the land border, to Vaccinated Canadians, for non essential  travel. What about Cruisers?  Currently, Canadians can't disembark in America, if they have cruised to various European ports, within the previous 14 days. Are these 2 laws separate? Does any one know?

Could the land border open and the port border stay closed.

Now, I am trying to remember, which year, I found Mrs Veendam. It was fun and I remember a nice photo frame in my prize bag.

On the K Dam inaugural, our underwear was lost in the Laundry, for 5 days and we had to buy more in the next port. After that our underwear, along with other peoples were found.  We were called to the front desk, to look through a big box of undies. I sent my husband, hoping that he would recognize ours. He Did.

Hal reimbursed us for the undies bought on shore. 

I wouldn't take my really good underwear on a cruise, but I have to wear good. My granny taught me that I had to, in case I was hit by a bus. It makes me smile now, as I realize that emergency staff, wouldn't notice our underwear.

This reminds me of all the endless threads on "appropriate" attire for formal ( now GALA nights) and how some expressed that their cruise was just "ruined" because of how others dressed during dinner!

Chill out.   Some people may not be clear on the rules. Some may not have a mask covering their mouth AND nose. I see this ALL the time and it is mostly with the elderly! 

Some do not wear a mask correctly. HAL recommends a "medical grade " mask. What the hell is that? I wear a cheap  surgical mask. Especially if I need to wear a new one every day. Buy them in bulk.

I am sure some will wear 2  or even 3 masks. Some will wear only N 95 masks. Guarantee there are those that will criticize others for only wearing a "cheap"  mask. "THEY ARE NOT DOING THEIR PART TO PROTECT OTHERS!"

Some will probably chose to bathe in gallons of sanitizer gel. Whatever. This is getting ridiculous!

Believe me, I am one to follow the rules; but if this  is what it takes to cruise......I will wait.  As I am sure many others will.  Just NOT worth my time or money. HAve fun!

This thread is pointless. Just like in our everyday life, many [ including us } will wear masks, distance and wash our hands. Others will ignore the rules and will need to be told.

Yes, sorry. I intended to say, payment has been delayed, from Aug 21st to Sept 20th. 

A few mins ago Hal changed our final payment date, from Oct 21st to Sept 20th. Others on the roll call, also say the same thing. Very unfortunate for those who have been paying, this last day or two. We almost paid, but played telephone tag with our pcc.

The Rotterdam was listed on the port of Amsterdam site, but she isn't now. She has also been removed from the port of Zebrugge, Le Harve, Portland etc. All the European ports that she was due to dock in this Oct. The Rotterdam was listed at all these ports a few weeks ago. 

Does anyone know why. Hal needs to tell us the truth. Final payment is days away.

I like to remain hopeful, that we can all cruise TA, to Ft Lauderdale
