I think that's what we are going to go with - myparkconnect.com. This will be our first time out of Tampa.

Unfortunately, it has not made its way to all ships. In November we were on the Freedom and asked for a veggie patty and were told that particular ship did not have that option. 🤷♀️

Hi do you remember how many people were on your tour? is it a large bus or a van? ty
They picked us up in a small hotel shuttle type van but that particular day we happened to be the only people to book the tour so there were only 4 of us. I'm not sure if they have different vehicles. Francisco is very responsive if you email him (using the contact us section on their website).

How was the snorkeling? Did you walk to Junkanoo beach?
We walked to the beach (we had already walked around the city on our own) and then walked to the ship.
Like MrCoachRentz said, the snorkeling was okay and the beach is nice/fun. There wasn't a lot but we still enjoyed it for a couple hours.

Hi!
Glad to hear it was safe and you enjoyed! What beach did you go to? enough time at the beach?
thks!
I will see if I can find the name of the beach. I don't think we really had enough time there to enjoy it. We stuck our feet in and took some photos. You do get back to the port with a couple hours left (maybe more if you can get them to skip the Larimar Factory, lol) and could probably visit the beach near the port.

Did you take a cab to these places? I am interested in the Brugal Rum Factory and the Cable Car. Just wondering how much a cab would cost.
Thanks
Tom
The tour was on a small bus (like a hotel shuttle bus) so I do not know the prices of cabs. You might want to check and see if Marysol Tours will create a custom tour for you and how much that would cost.

We just got off the Freedom last week and they had the 80s theme and White Party, as well.
-
We did the Puerto Plata City Beach tour and loved it. We could have done without the visit to the "Larimar Factory" as it was nothing spectacular - just a place for them to push sales on low quality items.
The Macroix Rum Tour was great. Prices on alcohol was very cheap (but the shop at the port was slightly cheaper).

I’m interested in booking a tour with them on our December Horizon cruise. It says it’s about a 15 minute walk to the port gates and you have to exit the port area. My question was is this area safe and is the guide usually there waiting? We don’t want to be stuck standing in a unsafe area waiting
It was about a 15 minute walk and completely safe. You walk through the Welcome Station (where the Carnival cruise busses are parked), to the end of the parking lot (there is a sidewalk and you must use the crosswalk or they will nicely ask you to), through a gate. Once you make it through the gate, you will walk towards the left side of the driveway and meet your guide.
There are other tour guides on the right side of the driveway. Marysol Tours parks on the left side.

They made an announcement just after we set sail, with how many passengers were on board.

Ship - Freedom
Deck - 6
Stateroom # - 6235
Stateroom Category – 8A
Starboard or Port Side - Starboard
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – For the most part, yes. Only once or twice did we hear the performers practicing in the Victoriana Lounge (decks 3-5). And only because we happened to be in the room. It did not interrupt our sleeping.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstructions. View was nice. Enough room for 2 chairs and a small table.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal size balcony
Was wind a problem? - Only if we had the balcony door and the room door open at the same time.
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A
Any specific problems with this cabin? - Room did not seem to get very cool. Not a problem for us but when we had friends visiting in our room, it was a bit warm for them - even on the coldest setting. They were a couple doors down and had the same issue. Ended up asking for a fan to be brought into their room.
Any other comments? - Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Step up and into the bathroom (probably 6 or 7 inches).

The Freedom had a 3L of Jack with a cool swing/stand for $90.

We did a city tour through Marysol Tours. https://marysoltours.net/puerto-plata-city-beach/
-
We were just there last week (Nov 2021) and the Amber Museum was open, Del Oro Chocolate Factory, Macroix Rum Factory, and Fortress of San Felipe were open.
I agree about not driving yourself - it was crazy!

You will be docking. We did a city tour through Marysol Tours (Nov 2021) and loved it!!
-
We were there on Thursday and walked to meet our tour guide outside the gate. You are correct, you can meet at the "Local Guides section" on the right side of the driveway. There are also some tour guides on the left side (ours - Marysol Tours - was on the left side).
-
We were there on Thursday and did not see any monkeys. We weren't exactly looking for them but I'm sure we were have heard if other passengers saw some in the port.
-
We were just in Nassau last week and my passport expires at the beginning of April. I didn't have any issues. I even had them stamp my passport when I was there. 🙂
-
We brought our own gear and snorkeled right off Junkanoo beach. It was okay. My husband enjoyed it more than I did. We walked around Nassau for a couple hours first, then spent a couple hours on the beach, then headed back to the ship early.
-
Customs didn't even look like they were open when we got off the ship on Saturday. We walked right on through.
-
We were just there last week and walked from the port to John Watlings (only to find out we were there before they opened) so we walked over to the Queen's staircase, then walked back to John Watlings. From there we walked to Junkanoo beach for a few hours then back on the ship.
There were 4 of us but we never felt unsafe. The first person to approach us was at the staircase (to give us a 'tour') and then at a small liquor store across the street from the beach.
-
We were just there last week. The straw market was not open. There were some restaurants/bars open along Bay Street, but many were still closed. We walked around the city for a few hours then headed over to Junkanoo beach and did some snorkeling.
Stateroom outlets on Miracle
in Carnival Cruise Lines

There is one on the desk and one in the bathroom. We bring a power strip for the desk and then I usually charge my camera batteries in the bathroom (when it's dry in there). The bathroom outlet is up high.
Also, the room has a foreign outlet. If you had a converter, you could probably use that one as well.
