We used one. Loved it. Would do it again.
Cabin staff didn't say anything to you? Did you need to bring anything else to secure it?
-
How would you hook it to the balcony?
Just ties like you would tie it around a tree. I was thinking to tie it around the metal frame on the sides of the balcony. Like I said I called and the lady didn't know for sure the answer. Looks like most people buy the $19.97 or $29.97 travel hammocks from the sporting goods section of walmart.

So I did all the online check I'm and printed the fun passes for our 3 cabins on our upcoming cruise. Well last night I added a new guest in each room. I know I will need to do the o line check in for them but will I need to print a new fun pass for each room?

I've definitely seen people post that they have hung those hammocks on the aft balconies. Give it a try. It sounds heavenly.
Yeah I think I'll give it a try :)
Anyone else tries this?

Ok so I saw some videos of people who have tied up a small tree hammock on their balconies mostly on NCL, wondering if anyone here has done this on Carnival? I called to ask and the kind lady didn't know the answer, but said it sounds like an awesome idea lol. Anyone know??
Thanks,
David

We are booked in cabin 5346 and 5347, excited for our first aft view balcony! I've been noticing pictures of the Aft showing all the balconies and it is clear that the cabins on either side of ours are noticiably larger. I'm curious why? They are also listed as 8M cabins, same as ours. On the deck plans the balconies look same size but real photos of the back of the ship shows them looking 50% larger. What's the difference in the cabins other than the balcony size and why are they larger?
Just curious lol

Thanks for you're help.

Apparently they have been switching YTD location around (probably based on demand).
There are still the observation areas on at least decks six and seven, so the "secret" decks still exist.
Ok. Thanks. I was hoping we would be in the aft dinning room for traditional seating.

Does anyone know which dining room on the Carnival Sunshine is for traditional seating and which one is for anytime dinning ?
Also, is there an observation deck at the front of the ship? I know the destiny had one above the bridge but now the Sunshine has cabins there.

So I've ordered Fun Ship Dollars for our on board account. It asked what day to have them delivered to cabin, ofcourse I chose the first day. Will this be delivered to cabin or as I check in at the terminal? Seems like last time it was delivered at check in.

When I visit carnival.com it says "welcome, David" then beside my name is a tab to log in. Once I log in the countdown flag appears.

How long does it take to ship?. I cruise on may 21st. Would be nice is you could use more points towards 1 card to get maybe 20% off. I have 53,000 points. Dunno if it worth it with shipping n taxes.

If it makes you feel better, I have used the ones without bar codes with no problems.
Ok, thanks. I was just curious. I know the ones without the barcode has stateroom number n deck anyways.

I printed the entire packet the barcode was on that one. I needed one more luggage tag so when I went to print i just clicked print luggage tags only. That one came without the barcode. It's not printer problem. It did this for all 4 cabins that I printed.

I just printed luggage tags for my cabin and one luggage tag has a barcode the other just has a number why is this? Is this a problem?
Thanks,
David.

Also, FTF is not under the fun shops online. It's under the "excursions" tab.

everyone!
I need some insight on this topic. I have cruised out of Charleston a few times and I know it's different than other ports as far as dropping luggage off, driving to parking garage and then taking a shuttle to the ship. With all of this how does Carnival offer wheel chair assistance? I am taking mother who has trouble walking and with steps. I contacted specialneedsatsea.com and they can have a wheelchair in the cabin waiting for her. But as far as boarding and debarkation how will this work at this particular port? Her cabin will have FTF if that makes any difference.
I also posted this in East Coast Departures, but I know this board is more active and it's Carnival related. :)
Thanks,
David

I'm working on it , I got some of the balcony will get more after dinner. As far as movement , no. It's the aft of the ship so there is minimal movement felt. Some vibration and the door to the safe in this room makes a rattling noise.
Ok, thanks.

How is the movement of the ship in the very back? Is it rocky or shaky? Did u get photos yet of the room?
-
Is this on deck 5? Promenade deck?
-
I've read that there is breakfast at the taste Bar on the sunshine, what are the options and is it just a taste, small bites? Is it every Morning?
-
So I called my PVP and he said if the kids liked the sunshine last year it's heading to Curaçao , Aruba , and Grand Turk. I told him I would like to be on the 5th floor, last cruise we had a ocean view on it and liked the new room with the small refrigerator in it. Also the fact that our dining is one floor down, kids club is 5 floors up, the little slides and splash park is outside on deck 10 right by kids club and elevators are close but not too close makes it a great spot in our opinion. He booked me this aft balcony room 5346 and I couldn't be more pleased..
Hello!
I am booked in this sane cabin 5346 for the May 21st sailing. Any photos of the room, especially the balcony please?
Thanks,
David.
Atlantis waterpark day pass and water taxi?
in Bahamas
Posted
Has anyone purchased the day pass to Atlantis waterpark for $120.00? Also what's the cost of the water taxi vs. The regular cab taxi? Someone said with the water taxi more walking is involved. But I can't imagine it being that bad??
Thanks,
David
