We are considering this hotel pre-cruise in February. Any recent reviews? Recommendations for brunch/dinner? Anyplace nearby to purchase wine /bottled water to take on board? Thank you!

Thank you so much for all of the thoughtful responses. Does anyone have a copy of the vintages wine menu with prices? Also, are tapas available in Vintages on Serenade of the Seas?

Just of the Symphony 2weeks ago
We found that most times when we ordered 2 drinks, with tip it was just a hair over 25.00
We enjoyed the Sangria in Vintages and they were 12 each so that ran us just over 25
Non specialty beers were around 7 and Truly spiked seltzer, 8, these came close to 20
So for 4 drinks a day we were just over 100 a day.
Is you cruise port intensive? Obviously, being off ship a good part of the day you won’t be drinking onboard
We ordered water for our cabin precruise and brought on two bottles of wine
Onboard my husband talked to someone who brought on 4 bottles
He had 2and his wife had 2, they went through security aopart and not as a couple
We had gifts cards from Christmas we used at the Starbucks inboard.
Most mornings we ordered coffee, tea, juices, fruit, etc from room service so we did not have to go search out coffee first thing. 😊
How do I preorder water for our cabin?

This is all very interesting. I didn’t realize that Starbucks gift cards can be used on the ship. Our cruise has six port days and four sea days. Thanks so much for letting me know about the opportunities for “free” drinks. Are the drinks at the top tier event (we are Platinum) free?
Thanks again for your help! -
Thank you for your responses! I really appreciate all the advice!

We are going on an 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise (yay!) It has been several years since we last cruised and beverage package prices are crazy — over 1200 dollars for the two of us! So..... a few questions:
Does Royal offer drink coupons for Crown and Anchor Platinum level members? Are drink coupon “cards” offered on the Serenade of the Seas?
Are there any events where free drinks are offered? Art auctions with free champagne, lol?
Does anyone know the prices of drinks on the Serenade of the Seas?We are planning to bring two bottles of wine on board. Any other suggestions?

I did a search and couldn’t find the relevant information so... does anyone know of a FLL hotel that offers free parking while we are on our Caribbean cruise? A free shuttle to and from the cruise port would also be great. Thank you.

Can I walk into the old city of Rhodes from the cruise port? I have read that the Avenue of the Knights is a must see, but what else would you suggest? Thank you!

We are planning to do a Rhine River cruise. Which cruise line is preferable -- Avalon or Viking?

We are thinking about booking a cruise on this ship. We will have a toddler (age 15 months) at time of sailing. What pools can the child use? are there any amenities for him?

You may enjoy a balcony cabin-- when you put your little one down for the night , you will be able to enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the sea. In ports, you can visit beaches and enjoy the water with your baby. The lifeguards in the pool area are VERY vigilant about not allowing babies in the pools so any other opportunities to enjoy a beach vacation are great! The best stroller (in my opinion) is an umbrella stroller that reclines. An umbrella stroller will fit in the hallways and the reclining is perfect for napping. Also, as was previously mentioned, be sure to request a pack and play as they have limited number of these cribs. There are mommy and me sessions every day --I never attended one, but they seemed interesting. The nursery on the Allure is wonderful! But be sure to make it your first stop to reserve the hours you want....

Any suggestions for a good local place?

Thanks for the reply! It sounds like "Harbor East" is the place to stay!

Thank you for the information! Any recommendations on flavors?

We have reservations at the Marriott in East harbor. Two questions:
1. What is your opinion of the water taxi as a way to see a little of Baltimore the day before our cruise?
2. Any nice dinner restaurants within walking distance of the Marriott East Harbor? We prefer something to give us a local flavor of Baltimore.
Thank You!

As part of our New England/Canada cruise, we will be spending a day in Boston. We have visited Boston twice on land vacations, so we are looking for something different. Are there any recommendations for North End food tours? Many thanks!

Thank you for your response! Which hotel in Harbor East is closest to the Water Taxi?

We decided to book with Paul - thanks so much for your recommendation!

My husband and I are looking for a hotel one night pre-cruise in October. Our flight arrives at 11 AM and we will taxi or Uber to a hotel. We have never been to Baltimore and need some advice:
We want to stay in the Inner Harbor or Harbor East
We would prefer our hotel be near a Water Taxi stop
We would like to be near some type of local restaurant
Opinion of Pier 5 hotel?
Many thanks!

For those of you that did not go to Peggy’s Cove - did you feel that you missed anything?
